Enjoyed for 12 years, ready for removal

12 years and 4 months later, ready to have them removed
WORTH IT$6,500
All right, ladies. It's been now almost 12 years and 4 months, and although I don't regret having implants, I am very much ready to have them out. They've been what I call "cranky" here and there for a couple of years - causing some brief pain in the pec muscles I'm guessing, twinges, etc.. I'm also ready to be able to put my hand on my heart and not have something in the way, and one implant appears to have softened/deteriorated and there's a little soft nubbin that I can press in that appears to be popping out between muscle fibers - that I noticed in the last couple of months. I know that older cohesive gel implants can deteriorate with age and 12+ years is a lot - so I think they may be degrading. In my current research I notice few doctors show an OLD gummy bear implant cut in two - they always show a brand-new one. Old ones apparently get soft and sticky, and the gel inside more liquid. I've still worn a sleep bra every single night that whole time, and the skin has only somewhat loosened causing a bit of a sag off the boobs. I have definitely had some weird symptoms in the last year and a half and I'm wondering if I may have some inflammation in part from theses puppies getting old. Starting to schedule explant consultations, one with my original surgeon and one with the doctor who's done hundreds of explant surgeries in my city.

Ah, the good old days that never can be again
It's been about 5 years and 7 months since augmentation.
I wear a bralette every night to bed and have since augmentation - recently I am wearing a more supportive one. Note the profiles - the left one looks a little weird/saggy - it's been like that pretty much since about 8 months out - apparently that original breast was a bit bigger but would have looked too much bigger with a larger implant.
I don't want to know how they'd look without having worn the bralette to bed - I'm sure there'd be much more sagging - there must be a little bit but you can't tell from my pictures.
Lately, I've been missing my perfect pre-baby breasts - small nipples/areolas and small 34B's, a bit of natural sag. I do feel like these are too heavy sometimes and in some tops I look kind of fat - no more ribbed tops for me! I am thinking that sometime (far) into the future I'll get a reduction and small implants but for now, they look pretty good and are proportional with my bigger hips. Note that I splashed cold water on them before the pictures - the areolas look big without that trick :)
I do wonder what they'd have been like with slightly smaller implants, like 350 or 375, so think about things before you decide. I definitely do NOT wish I'd gone bigger.
Good luck with your decision!

I would to have something that looks as great as what you have. I've had 3 BA and a lift over the last 13 years and mine still don't look as good as yours. Congrats they're perfect.

Great progression pics! My PS put in Silicone Overs, 250ccs, mod plus profile and I'm also a 32DD. It's strange how someone can go for way more CC's but wind up the same bra size as someone who like myself put in less. I wonder if it's because mine are overs?? I started off with a deflated 34B.

That's awesome. Wish I'd been able to do that - less weight and no weirdness doing push-ups or vacuuming :) Your skin must have been in much better/elastic condition.

Thank you for sharing your pics! I am also going to for 425cc's and was a bit nervous that I might be going too big. But after seeing your pics, I'm not as worried anymore. I'm 5'2" 115 lbs, and wear a 34B bra(breast size actually full A small B. My surgery is in less than two weeks, and I hope they look just as great as yours!

You look great! I'm amazed at how the nipple position even looks like it came up from the first post-op photo to the last. Great result.
What profile did you get? And are they over or under the muscle?
