Tear trough filler
I was extremely excited to have my tear trough filler. I had waited several years after an unfortunate experience some years ago. I had high hopes for Dr Khan, as I had read so many excellent reviews. Unfortunately for me, my experience was filled with stress, anxiety and trauma. Dr Khan was first of all around 30 minutes late and left me sitting in the chair for this amount of time. I actually considered leaving, which I wish I had. When he finally did inject me, part of the syringe? popped off during procedure which scared me. Dr Khan informed me this ‘likes to do that now and again’ Very soon after procedure, I noticed a soft pea sized lump next to the end of my tear trough. I whatsapped and one of the nurses (and Dr Khan) informed me they thought I had ‘been bitten’ by an insect (really!) I assured them I didn’t think that was the case. As time went on I was left with a mess. I had Tyndall effect and had bumpy swelling all around my eye. I was frantically trying to arrange follow up appointments to have the eyes reviewed. I went in and Dr Khan said ‘it looks better than before’ (it definitely didn’t!) I then learnt that despite me asking for Restylane I had been treated with Redensity, which I only knew because I asked one of the nurses at a weekend, she checked my file. What then followed with a horrible series of me being asked to wait for appointments for dissolving. I had one session of dissolving which did not fully dissolve. Dr Khan and his team of nurses were adamant the filler was fully dissolved, which it wasn’t. They then reluctantly agreed to give me a second appointment for dissolving, which they cancelled around 14 hours prior to my scheduled appointment, asking me to wait longer in case it was still swelling. This was almost one month of living with horrendous looking tear trough, and in my view, was an attempt to save money from Dr Khan’s part. I was given a full refund which I was grateful for, however, I had to use this and more to have my fillers dissolved at another practice. I’m just grateful that I was able to have my tear trough dissolved at a far better different plastic surgeon, who was horrified when I explained my story to her. Although, I’ve been left with malar lines which I didn’t have before, and I’m convinced this is from Dr Khan’s work, as it is exactly where he injected. If I could give anyone advice I would urge them to tread caution when considered Dr Khan, I wish I had. Do not believe the hype of this man! I have since learnt that a friend of mine had to have her lip filler dissolved - 3 times - after Dr Khan left her with huge bumps of filler in her lips. Would never, ever recommend this practitioner!
