Where has the time gone! 3 month Post Op!
Seems like it was just yesterday I was waiting to be wheeled in for my surgery, and here it is 3 months later. I am excited to say that I have lost another 8lbs and I feel amazing! My husband & I went clothes shopping and I was floored by what my sizes are now. At my heaviest I was 275lbs wearing a size 22/24 now I am 138lbs and wear a size 2/4! I have slowly started working out, and it feels really good to be back in the gym. Next week I am taking our 3 children home for my grandmothers 95 Birthday & I am looking forward to seeing family and friends that have not seen me since the weight lose or my surgery!! I will post some pictures soon!
3 weeks 6 days post op
Things are going very well. I had my 3 week post op appt last Monday, and my PS said I look extremely good for only having a Panniculectomy w/o any muscle tightening. I feel amazing!! I don't even care so much that my belly button is so low. We went to a Super Bowl party on Sunday and for the first time I was able to wear jeggings with a tight v-neck tshirt and wasn't worried about needing to cover my pannus. I am heeling up great, still wearing my binder and massaging my scar 3xs a day with a lotion my doctor gave me. Here's some pics from last week.
Reluctant....but here's my 9 day post op pics.
The first time I saw my stomach after my surgery was 3 days post op, and I was way to excited to see the pannus removed to really critic the results. Am I 100% wowed, ecstatic about my results...honestly...no. However, looking back at my photos it's a vast improvement!! I wasn't striving for supermodel status, however, I'm a little unpleased by how low my belly button is. It basically looks like I have no belly button. Thankfully, I have an amazing husband, that took one look at it as I stood in the mirror (second guessing my decision), and said to me, " what's a belly button anyway, who cares where it's positioned." "You and I are the only ones that are going to know or see it." He's right, I did this for me and a little for him. I worked hard to get this body, 3 babies all c-sections, multiple surgeries, and a huge weight loss that has completely changed my life. So, here ya go...my new tummy and some swelling....lol!
