Rhinoplasty Experience in Iran by Dr Farshid Mahboubirad
ORIGINAL POST
I'm writing about my rhinoplasy experience in...
$4,000
I'm writing about my rhinoplasy experience in Tehran/Iran with Dr Farshid Mahboubirad, I needed a very straight forward minor surgery to only have a narrower front look and he promised to deliver, but what I have now is a dented asymmetrical nose as he has taken off too much of my septum cartilage from the bridge and tip, I'm extremely devastated, my whole life has been ruined up, have lost my job, my confidence, etc... I have to wait at least a year before I can have another revision not to mention that I have to have rib cartilage graft to have this mess fixed

I just created a profile to write a review for Farshid Mahboubirad as well, so I came across yours! I had the similar experience, had a revision rhinoplasty with him 7 months ago and have ended up with an upturned, too short, too small, piggy nose! i'm looking for a good revision specialist for a third revision now :(

Sorry to hear that :( i'm also considering a revision with Dr Ali Manafi, but have to wait a full year or even longer

I had a couple of consultations with Dr Amir Sajadian & Dr Ali Manafi 2months post-op, They are both good revision surgeons. They both ask me to wait a year & then go back for anther consultation

Can you please direct message me or put your before & after pictures back up? I am considering going to see Farshid (as are others I know). Thank you in advance.

I don't believe him to be a good choice. Too many horror stories on him + necrosis. Not to mention his results are very semi hit & miss.

The problem I am finding is no-one is sharing photo's (just my thoughts). What one person absolutely hates can be another person's dream nose. With regards to the necrosis Dr Aldea writes "IF all the [blood supply] sources are compromised surgically by pressure (such as a bulky implant) or chemically (smoking) the tip could be deprived of its blood supply and die. This usually happens in the first week after surgery when the combination of swelling, increased metabolic needs of the healing tissues and smoking collide" (Peter A. Aldea, MD). So that to me sounds like it's more prone in certain people & situations though I don't believe this Dr is famous for shoving in a lot of stuff, rather removing it? Again, this is purely my thoughts and in no way an attack on anyone else's views or experiences which we all all gratefull people choose to share.
