Ok so I have felt like my face has been tired...
Ok so I have felt like my face has been tired looking for a long time and always thought my face was one thing I would not mess with and grow old gracefully because people that have fillers and botox look weird right ?
I had just started a hairdressing course at college and ended up chatting with my tutor who is 3 years younger than myself about beauty, she looked so fresh and she admitted that she had had botox in her brow area and crows feet. because she was a real person that looked fab, had had botox and was not mutated looking in any shape or form I was SOLD !
She passed his details on to me and said that he does a small dose to begin with then at 2 weeks you go back and he tops up for free should you need it.
Sounded great, so I text Dr Ed Porter in Taunton and he said that I could come in the next day at 3 to have it done.
I took my 14 year old niece with me as I was treating her to a bit of lunch that day and without me knowing it she recorded the whole thing.
When I asked about pricing he told me that he charges £175 per area, I then asked him how much it would be for my glabella/brow area and crows feet, he told me that most people charge separately but he just does those areas as one charge of 175, I told him that I was incredibly nervous and frightened of getting a droopy eye or some kind of problem, he said that he could just do the brow area and if I felt ok with that in 2 weeks time when I go back for free top up he can add the crows feet in then. I said "all in at this cost so I won't pay more?" He agreed!
When I went to pay he saw I had cash in my wallet and said £150 for cash So that was nice !
So 3 days went by and my brow began to freeze and I was pretty happy, I could still frown a bit but thought it was due to the depth of my elevenses and remembered him telling me it takes up to two weeks for full effect, so when it started to freeze I sent him a text to say Thank you. Two weeks went by and I could still frown a bit but was happy I couldn't do full on frown and thought that I was a outs to get it topped up and get my crows feet done.
This time my daughter came with me and as I sat on his couch I told him that I would like to have the crows feet done as discussed previously. He asked me to frown and I did and was surprised to hear him say that I didn't need a top up and it was fine. (I'm no doctor and I wasn't going argue an expert opinion I just felt disappointed mine wasn't perfect like my tutors)
He injected one side of my crows feet eyes and moved over to the other side and just as he was a bouts to inject the other eye he rested it there and said "I'll take £50 for today"
How was I going to argue with one eye done? I felt he knew this was the case and did it sneakily which really really hurt my feelings as I'm such an honest person who would NEVER do that to someone.
I paid him and went home (it's not the money it's the principle!)
At home I told my niece what had happened and said that I was sure that he had told me he would not charge me for crows feet etc.
She flipped out her phone and showed me that she had filmed our whole conversation and the injecting first time around which confirmed that he had indeed made me those promises.
I text him exactly this "Hi Ed
The otherday in your office you said that you charge 175 for glabella brow area and crows feet as one at 175 same as C***** had yes and top up for free ? "
(Bare in mind his website says to text him)
No reply , so quite upset I text him later saying this "I didn't think you would reply it's just ive ended up paying 200 without top up and ive thought about it since you said about 50 just as putting it in that's all and wondered why ? " (so gave him chance to explain or even apologise)
Still I heard nothing back so 2 days later I sent him this "Ok so so you won't reply to me ... My husband wants to know why 50 pounds off his card as I had assured him what you told me ... I told him ive asked you but you won't reply so he is coming in to see you today !" (STILL NO REPLY ALL DAY)
So I sent this "It quite clearly comes up read so it makes me feel offended as I know I'm intentionally blanked which is plain rude... If you could explain then everything is fine but where my blog started off positive about you now I'm having to write that it appears you conned me as you won't reply which is unprofessional" I was fuming by this point !
Then finally he sent me this
" Hi Donna,
I have just read your text however as I was driving I was unable to reply.
My little one has been unwell so I've been busy looking after them so apologies for not getting back to you.
As regards other individuals treatment, I never discuss this with others. This is the same for you, it would be a break in patient confidentiality.
I charged you £50 for the eye region which is normally £75.
I have yet to order the cream as it's currently unavailable from the manufacturer.
Please let me know if you'd still like me to order it when it becomes available.

" Ok but Ayla recorded our first visit and I have played it back several times to everyone to make sure I didn't misunderstand and you quite clearly say 175 and class as whole area and that you were happy to do crows feet for nothing at top up which is free so was a shock when you said 50 as that would make 200 and I had paid 150 for cash, I can send you the recording later today if you like, Then you will understand why you have baffled me,
My words are how much is it for crows feet aswell ? You say ... I class the glabella brow and crows feet as one .. I say well I'm not to bothered about the crows feet at momenta a I'm so nervous and you replied "well I'll do them for you next time if you decide and I won't charge, I don't charge for top up either!"

I replied "You did that's why I was shocked it's only 25 more that ive actually paid so that is fine I just didn't want to be fibbed to by a doctor again as I have to fight my husband to get these things . Apology accepted thank you keep the 25 now as I just like people to be honest with me.
And yes I would still like cream ... Has wigmore not got any still as usually I phone up Paul put it on card and they post to me the next day ive not had any for near 2 weeks and I'm missing it " (this was the cream he said I could get off him instead of going to two clinics)
He replied again saying that he could not get the cream and to get it from the other clinic.
So 3 weeks after initial botox I send him this "Hi ed think I should have had top up in glabella as C***** can't move hers atall but I can still make a slight frown and my lines appear ? "
That was over a month ago so I sent him this, this morning ... "Still waiting on response trying not to appear rude ... It's only been a month and a half since I asked, I will be going elsewhere and I will be putting up full review of customer service on realself and my own Taunton beauty review page and your review page also. "
Not heard back so if your looking for customer service all the way through don't bother seeing Ed Porter because once he's taken your money if you have queries he just ignores you! Paul Baines in Taunton is far more efficient and provides a better customer service or try else where. Only go to Ed porter if you can guarantee before you go that if its not quite right you won't give a darn!
