Picosure on Large Black Outline
No More TattoosFebruary 13, 2018
Hello everyone!
This review is a continuation of my initial Tattoo Vanish review.
I had a HUGE tattoo done and experienced major regret and anxiety after the outline was completed. I decided to NOT finish the Tattoo and start looking into removal options.
I initially tried Tattoo Vanish as it was considered a natural method. I did three test areas and found scaring/chemical burns on my skin as a result.
Therefore, I moved onto laser options, only to find out that I was pregnant! I was happy but surprised. Needless to say, I’ve been waiting until my baby is born to start my Picosure 1064 treatments.
My baby will be here any day. I will start my treatments 12 weeks after I give birth. My doc said this would allow my hormones to settle and my pigment to go back to normal.
I will post initial pictures of the Tattoo in a separate update.
Stay turned!

I will be removing the large outline work first via the Picosure 1064 laser after I have my baby.
Note this was supposed to be a cover up, however I was not happy with the size of the flowers.
Once I see progress on the back outline, I will work on the original tattoo on my hip.
I will be sure to post an update after my first appointment and test spot!

Hello ! I removing my tattoo. (Like you... a large tattoo ... I already had 3 treatments with Discovery Pico, a picoseconde laser ...)
It's a long process but it's necessary to feel better and accept his body again
Good luck for your first treatment. Apply anesthesic cream 2 yours before.
I will follow your story.

My appointment is April 19th and I can’t wait! I’m calling almost everyday to see if they have any cancellations to get me in sooner haha.

I’m so nervous....I want this thing to come off now! But I’m thinking about waiting 12 weeks between sessions to allow for lots of fading time.

Hum...maybe I’ll take a break during the summer too. I’ll only have time for one treatment since my appointment is towards the end of April....I can’t wait to see how it works out for you.

UPDATED FROM No More Tattoos
Consultation

Hello everyone! I had my consultation on the 19th at Dr. Behr’s Office and it went very well. The laser technician is a RN and she mapped out a great plan to remove my tattoo.
The removal will be done in 3 sections.
1. The black outline on my back.
2. The old color Tattoo and black outlines on my lower back & hips.
3. The black outline on my thigh.
I appreciated how honest she was. She said in rare cases they can clear the Tattoo in 6 sessions, however it’s more like 8-12 or more. They have every laser available to treat me, including Picosure 1064, Revlite, etc....This Removal process will most likely take 2-3 years. Looks like her and I are gonna be BFFs!
Each session will be $300 until the ink starts to fade, which I think is fair.
My first session will be on my back and she will section it off into 4 sections and try different lasers to see which one works best. It is scheduled for April 24th.
All of the staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable.
I can’t wait to see results!

I don't realize really progress. I'm afraid of having to do more than 8 sessions. my dermatologist thinks 3-4 sessions more will be necessary. either 7 or 8 in total.
Your comment reassures me. Thanks you

Well that sucks as I too went to Dr Behr and am in the middle of a tattoo removal. I was told that my tattoo should be removed within the 6 session package and now I wonder if that is true.

Hum....maybe it’s because my tattoo is so big. You can’t tell in my pictures so far, but the outline extends down my side to my thigh. Plus I have an old tattoo right in the middle of that that is large and in color. I wouldn’t worry, Dr. Behr and her staff are very knowledgeable and honest. My RN is Teresa and my next appointment is with Misty.
What type of tattoo are you removing?
