I previously had 2 c/sections and a hysterectomy, all in my 20s. After the hysterectomy I have always had an overhanging of skin and tissue over the scar, creating an unsightly line even when wearing loose clothes. I started to dress less feminine since nothing fit properly on the bottom; I dealt with it by hiding it various ways, untucked shirts, tunics, and luckily I had scrubs for work, (I was an operating room RN for 25 years).

I had worked with Dr. Greenwald years ago in the operating room and remembered not only his surgical technique and positive patient outcomes, but also his gentle and friendly demeanor. Let me get back to technique— because without that, the other qualities don’t matter!! It was always very obvious he was well trained even back then. A friend during that period went to him for a breast reduction and had wonderful results! I kept this information on file for that day when I’d finally be able to have my tummy tuck. During this time I think I was in denial that my natural 34DD would stay in place, so that wasn’t on the radar at the time.

Fast forward to current day...

I recently moved back to the area from Los Angeles. I have sustained a 50lb weight loss for over three years and decided it was time to do something about my abdomen, and maybe see about getting my breasts lifted.

I could have gone back to Los Angeles, Pasadena or Santa Monica where I had worked with plastic surgeons. But it honestly was not a contest. Nobody else compared in my mind. I checked with friends who had confided in me they had work done by him previously and they were still happy. (Nobody checks out a surgeon like an OR RN).

I booked my procedure (Mommy Makeover/abdominoplasty & mastopexy) at my consult visit, with Dr. Greenwald taking time to explain what to expect my non-medical husband and me. Questions were asked and answered thoughtfully and thoroughly. I was so excited I couldn’t book it fast enough!

I’m now nearly four months out and I am beyond thrilled with my new and still transforming figure. While there have been some bumps in recovery, they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. I didn’t just felt well taken care of, I *knew* it! My education and experience taught me that no two people heal the same and that there are things out of the surgeons control.

I still catch myself staring in the mirror, admiring my new body. Clothes fit great, darts in blouses line up again and I can find more bras that fit and it’s become a bit of a new obsession!

More importantly, I feel feminine and attractive again. I had no idea how much of a positive impact the procedure would have on my self esteem. I have my swagger back!

Thank you Dr. Greenwald!!!

8 mo post op, still extremely happy!

Manatee2Mermaid
I cannot emphasize enough the how impressed I have been with the process. My scars are still transforming, very faint and flat! The care I have received from Dr Greenwald and his staff has gone above and beyond my expectations, as well as my husband’s.

Dr Greenwald and his staff have been very supportive, educational & easily accessible whenever there has been a question.

Hands down, I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

9 mo post-op What scars?!

Manatee2Mermaid
My scars are at various stages of fading. Some areas of scars are darn near invisible; most areas are still fading and ALL incision lines are flat and I know they will be invisible with more time. No regrets, other than waiting too long! Shopping is fun for the first time in 30+ yrs! (Original abdominal surgeries were in my early 20s).
