I have facial generalized redness and flushing ever since I was 15 years old. I have no acne and no facial veins. I had minimal redness on my forehead that wasn't nothing major unless I squinted my eyebrows you can see a slight shadow! I have no chin redness. The major problem is my cheeks and nose redness where 98 percent of the problem is! Every morning when I shave I have redness across my cheeks and nose that is extremely annoying! If i go out in the sun or poke my cheeks a lot it would flare up and would look like a sun burn, which really wasn't. Also, i'm a skin type 4 extra light olive skin tone so I find that i'm the only person that has it in this skin type, as it mostly occurs in faired skinned individuals. I'm not Asian skin type 4 i'm lighter than the usual skin type 4. When I was 15 I went to a dermatologist and they told me to wear sunscreen which I knew wasn't going to help because it's an excessive blood vessel problem so now at 21years old 12/16/2014 I received my first IPL Lumenis 22 treatment, lower settings compared to a skin type 1 individual. So it took about 10 minutes the doctor didn't do many pulses on the forehead because I barely have it on my forehead. So he focused more on my nose and cheeks with an overall of around 55 pulses from start to end. The red shade went to pink on my first treatment which is great! Last week I received my second treatment and I still see pink in my cheeks and nose. I know the average is 3 to 5 but since after the first treatment the shade went from red to pink I thought that after the second treatment the shade would go from pink to nothing! My goal is to wake up and look in the mirror and see nothing! Hopefully with 1 more treatment it can clear up completely which would make it 3 treatments. If it doesn't clear up after 3 IPL's i'll think about whether I should do 2 more IPL's or try the v beam instead, which I heard ruptures the blood vessel more efficient.

Thanks so much for sharing your IPL experience with us, I hope you get the results you are looking for. If you are taking progress photos/video, please share with us if you feel comfortable doing so. You mention you may try V Beam if IPL doesn't pan out so I thought I would share the following information with you: V-BEAM VS. IPL, HOW DO THEY DIFFER?
