I wanted to post my review because I know and understand on how it is when trying to find a good Cosmetic surgeon. I have had multiple consults with other surgeons but nothing or no one compares to Dr. Castor's facility and team.

2 years ago I had a BBL done by Dr. Castor ( I will post another review about this in another post at some point)
I came back to him and now got a breast augmentation and chin/neck vaser-lipo

The process follows: I had a consult which you meet with Dr. Castor and explain what it is that you are wanting to get done. You can show pictures and explain what you are looking for. He is not pushy at all, he lets you fully explain. Then he goes over the whole process, pre ops, post ops, recovery, what to expect and all. He then sends you to Angela (She is AWESOME) and she goes over pricing, surgical dates you can choose from, and lets you know if you book a surgery date there is a $500 deposit. Also $250 fee if you reschedule ( but I believe there are timing limitations to when this applies) . She also asks you if you have any more questions.
I believe surgeries are on Wednesdays and Fridays, and some Mondays. Consults are on Tuesday and Thursday. Also the surgery center is in the same building so it is very convenient..( I have only been to his Tampa office so I am not sure how his Riverview office works)
(this is where my consult got different)
I had my consult and pre op in the same day because I was having surgery within the same week. I tried on the sizers, Angela took pictures, got my vital signs I filled out all the surgery paperwork, I paid my surgery in full, and Dr Castor came back in talked a little more reiterating the process and going over exactly what was getting done and recovery. So my consult and pre-op appointment all in one took about 1.5 hours

Day before surgery you cannot have anything to eat/drink after 12am

Day of surgery I went into the patient room. Got undress from waist up and put the gown on. Nurse came into the room and started my IV. Dr Castor came in and talked with me some more about the process, recovery and just to make sure how many cc's I was getting. He made his markings and then the anesthetist came in and ask questions and then took me back. I laid on the table at 1:30 Monique put some relaxing drugs in my IV, and then the sedation, saw Dr Castor come in and boom I was out and remember when I fully woke up asking the time, she 3:30, But I was out of surgery at 2:30. I laid back down because I did not know I was able to leave yet (oops), but felt fine, I was just lying there waiting.. Dr Castor came in asked how I was feeling and said fine, just feels like I lifted weights yesterday. I asked the time again and if I could go and the recovery nurse said yea as long as you feel like it, I said yea, It was 4:30.

I was sooo hungry afterwards. I never really get sick or anything after anesthesia, just hungry and dry mouth.

Its 9:30 now I feel fine. Breast are high like he said they would be. But i feel fine, no pain, nothing. No pain in my neck or my chest. When I did leave I did talk weird for about 2 hours (he said this would happen with chin/neck lipo because there are so many nerves in that spot). It was a weird talk like when you go to the dentist and lips and mouth are numb. It is gone now though. I have not taken any pain meds yet, like I said before just feels like I weight lifted my chest area yesterday. I am able to move my arms in all directions….

I can take a shower on Sunday and remove the ace wrap (not steri-strips) and wear the Compression sports bar 24/7. I have to still keep the neck wrap on for about 10 days believe. Post op is in a week-

Thanks for the detail!!! I had Vaser lipo on August 1 ( about 2 weeks ago) and everything u said is spot on! ( Angela IS awesome!). I can't see much results bc I'm so early post op, but I do see progression and I feel confident that Castor is an excellent surgeon. But what do you think about his bedside manner ? Maybe I catch him on days that he's tired . I know I will get more work done in the future , but I can't say yet if I would return to castor. The staff was so warm, welcoming and friendly. The office facility in Tampa is modern and looks really nice . He had tons of awards for his work. But his personality can be so dry. I wish he would be more personalable. When I came in for my 1 week post op. He barely said hello when he walked in the room . He just looked right at my chart. He didn't ever even ask how I was feeling or how the treacherous week 1 was for me. He just got right to business . I aporeciate that I never feel rushed by him and he answers all question fully and honestly. Eh, dunno. When you are spending thousands of dollars on a service I guess I feel like each patient should feel the care of the surgeon. Have you seen elements of his monotone personality ? Am I overreacting ?

Yea with the lipo it does take some time to see results because you are so swollen for a while. make sure you are wearing you compression garment all the time, and make sure to do massages so you are draining it out your lymphatic system, this will also get rid of lumps and the numb feeling quicker...
I do understand what you are saying about his personality, but i dont think his "bed side manners" are bad. Bed side manners are like his attitude toward you as a patient. This to me would mean he does not seem interested, does not care what you are saying, very pushy and persistent. I do not think he is like that. I feel he listens and is compassionate to understand what exactly you are looking for. He is a little quite, but i think he is very gentle and professional. I rather have a professional Doctor then one i can not take seriously. I do feel he is a little more uppity on surgery days though.. Main thing is ask all your questions, he will answer them.. but im sorry about your experience at your 1 week post op, he usually asks how your feeling.. But yes i agree, if you spend thousands of dollars you should feel comfortable.

Thanks for that confirmation . I totally agree that he does show great respect toward me as a patient and always answers my many questions. Many doctors make you feel rushed or don't bother fully explaining bc they think you won't get it. Dr castor is not like that at all. I really appreciate that he takes his time. I'm sure he had heard the same questions a million times , but he still will take time to answer and make sure you understand .

Great info! Thanks, I am scheduling my BBL in Oct with Doctor Castor. Were you happy with your results? Any advice?
August 15, 2016
He did a great job on my BBL.. I wasent a big girl or have a lot of fat to transfer.. but he seemed to get every ounce of fat where i wanted gone.. lol.. from all the fat he was able to lipo out. I was able to get 700cc in each buttocks. I had a butt prior to the BBL but everyone tells me now "dang you butt is even more huge"
The recovery for a BBL is no joke though. I am a very independent person, and with the BBL please make sure you have someone to help you. you will need it. Make you you are consistence with you massages on your lipo areas and your buttocks.. it will hurt but you need to do it.
After surgery when i woke up it felt like my butt was a balloon that was going to explode.
A year after surgery there was this spot i did not like on my stomach from the lipo that did not go away (kind of like a lump), he had me come in and he fixed it under local sedation for free. So he is very reasonable and makes sure you get the results you want.
I think it takes more than 1 BBL for people to get the exact results they want by what i have seen on reading everyone's story on realself.

Good luck! I am sure he will do a awesome bbl on you!

I would recommend getting one of those pee cups, Because it will be hard to sit and get back up. Drink lots of fluids, Take your meds. sleep on your stomach. If you have to sit I got a bobby pillow (one of those pillows you feed babies with) and i sat on that (the opening side facing back, so your sitting on the opening side) I also got another one and put it behind my back (therefore its like my butt is in the air) Arnica gel (walgreens) . I wore my compression garment like clockwork. I wore it i think even past the 8 weeks. I bought a smaller one from Dr. Castor once the other one from surgery was too big.

Thank for all the advice! Do you have any pictures to share?

Thank you for taking the time for writing the review. I'm having a consult on 9/15 for a BBL. I would love to know how your experience went worth Dr. Castor. From my research, it seems that Dr. Castor 's patients experience less bruising.
August 19, 2016
i dont know about the bruising part, because i bruised alot, (but i do bruise easily).. I had lipo on my abdomen, flanks, love handles, back, and thighs. the lipo did not very much bruise, nor did my butt. but my thighs and hooha was black and blue ( he said because thats where all the blood is rushing to (the lowest point). a bbl is definitely a tough recovery just for the point of not being able to do much (sit.. etc) sleeping was the worst.. But all in all it was a good experience. i would love to have it again just because i would like more on the top of my butt for more of a shelf.. but my husband thinks im crazy and says why would u like to look totally fake, and make ppl not just think you had a bbl, but "know" you had a bbl, he said my butt is big enough.. plus i dont have enough fat now(i kept in the gym and weight lifting to keep my figure)
all i suggest is ask for more, dont ask for less, because like it is said you lose 30% when the swelling does down and it starts to fluff and get soft. if you want it in a certain place, make sure you say what you are looking for.. Oh yea .. dont buy any new clothes for months because if you buy when your still swollen it will not fit when the full results are done. Good luck!!

Thank you so much for all the info! Did you get any dents or uneven skin after the lipo?
August 22, 2016
i cant say that my butt is smooth and perfect no.. im sure there are treatments people get (like laser or cellulite treatment) to get that affect... i do not have major dents or anything like that i have seen in peoples pictures who have a concern bout them.. i have like dimples i guess but i only see them when i clench my butt,i cant see it through clothes or when im standing normal... would i like this fixed, yeah but its not a major concern of mine that i need it .. not sure if it was from the bbl cuz i had them before the bbl.. no my stomach or lipo areas do not look botched or uneven.. i did have a spot on my stomach by my belly button that i did not like and i called dr castor and told him about the concern and he fixed it under local anesthesia

This will be my first time getting lipo. I'm worried about the whole process. I know once this is done anything that goes wrong will be hard to fix. My consult is September 15th. I know I'm going through with this no matter what. I'm a little scared of the whole process I guess.
August 22, 2016
Trust me i was scared at first too.. it was the first time i was ever put under any type of anesthesia. But i would not change it for anything. i love my body more than i have ever did. it took away the fat that i could never lose.. and in the 2 years i have kept my same weight and it has been way easier for me to stay in the gym and see results. i wish i did it many years ago. my body has shape, contour and definition. lipo has helped gain my confidence.. i had a butt before the bbl, gettin the bbl just helped give my butt more shaped and fullness.. but i love it. and i felt very relaxed and confident with dr. castor and his team.. dont be worried just make sure to mention any health issues or anything like that.. follow the pre op and post op instructions and you will do fine.. any concerns after the surgery dont be afraid to speak up and mention it to them, thats what they are there for!
I dont think there will be any issues with something going wrong or not looking right with dr. castor and if there is something minor it will be able to be fixed.. i have not seen anything bad or complaints done by his work.

I feel a little better now that you've reassured me about the whole process. I've just recently gained 13 pounds which I'm trying to lose. Did you have to gain or lose any weight before this procedure? How many inches did you lose on your waist? I used to have a 26 inch waist and I missed that. How many inches did you gain in your hip and butt?
August 22, 2016
I would not lose the weight... the more fat you have, the more into the buttocks and hips... I didnt have to gain any weight, i could of if i wanted to but i didnt. waist now 27 before 30-31. butt/hips now 42 before 39-40. my stomach (where i wear my jeans) now 31 before 35.5
August 22, 2016
Oh my gosh! What a dream! I'm so excited now. I can't wait! Thank you so much!
August 23, 2016
Yes, thank you for your reassurance. Really helps make the leap easier!

I have a question? I am planning on going to Doctor Castor for my breast augmentation. I was quoted at $5000 for being a real self member, however he said he couldnt quote an exact price because I dont know what implants I want yet and I am considering areole reduction. Did your $5500 include everything surgeon fees office visit anesthesia and the implants?
