I've never written a review on here before, but reading all the others helped me so much so I thought I would return the favor. :) I just turned 37 and have spent a lot of time in the sun. Plus I've gained and lost 85 lbs. This was the first time I've had a cheek filler done and I've only done Belotero twice for under eyes a few years ago. I was pretty terrified because I never know what the results are going to look like and it's so expensive!

I just had this done yesterday and I love it so far!! The procedure itself was relatively painless (way less then Belotero under eyes). I had one syringe (1/2 on each side) and am debating about getting more. I'm not sure if I have swelling and I hope not because I love the results and want them to stay like this. I didn't bruise and there isn't much pain today. It feels a little noticeable but that's about it.

I think it loooks awesome!! I just had it done today too and regretting not getting more. I'm going to go back in a few weeks for another half syringe in each cheek.

Wow, you look great! Did the doctor say how long the Voluma would last? How long does your Belotero generally last?

August 1, 2015
The manufacturer claims it can last up to 2 years, but that's based on studies with individuals who had I believe 3-4 syringes placed. The Belotero lasted me a year each time when it was supposed to last 6 months so I'm hopeful.

To you it may not be that noticeable but it looks great.

Update Voluma in cheeks

Jossey72
I'm still debating whether to get a little more just to help with the mid-face area which is still thin. These pictures are from the end of October. They are a little misleading because I had a friend do my makeup and I have on a LOT of makeup and a phone filter! :) I don't think I've lost any product yet and it's been 4 months. Some of the initial swelling from the first pictures I posted went away after about 3 weeks. I would definitely like my cheeks a bit fuller, but I'm definitely afraid of overdoing it.

You look great! Do you have more before pictures you can post? Im getting voluma in two weeks and I'm really nervous. The doctor I'm seeing had a special for $1000 for two syringes, and I'm not sure if I will look to overdone with that much. I'm hoping I can get a little out in my chin. Thanks for you review, it's helpful to see what it does to people's faces. Unofrtuanlty surgeons don't post many pictures of what voluma does.

Your comments and photos are so helpful. Please don't worry about a little less volume you look great and NATURAL!

Hi! I just wanted to add that you are really beautiful because you are so not overdone like so many others can be! Just that little bit of volume filler seems perfect for you (I'll likely want the same in a few years...now in my thirties, my once full, round cheeks are beginning to thin out significantly...never thought I would miss them so much)! Keep it up with your naturalness, you look great!

But I was also going to add that I can see wanting a tiny bit more too! I don't think there would be anything wrong with that and would probably look good on you!

It has been my experience that Voluma is best for the cheekbone area and the "apple" area of your cheeks. Perhaps another filler, such as Sculptra, might be a better choice for the other areas of thinning. It's long lasting as well. Radiesse is also good. Best of luck!

A very nice and subtle change! I definitely think you would benefit from a little more if that's something you're comfortable with, but your improvement is already visible!

One syringe added, 1 year later

Jossey72
I had another syringe placed today (1/2 on each side). Minimal swelling, no bruising. It just feels like a little bit of tightness along my cheekbone (no pain).

You make me want cheek filler. You look fantastic

Thanks! I took the pictures down just because the Internet makes me nervous. :)

Did you still have some Voluma left before you did it again? If so, Is it more full now than when you first did it? Looks great!
February 8, 2017
I think I must have had some left. My plan is to get 1 vial every summer (1/2 on each side) even though it can technically last 2 years.

You look amazing. I had Voluma done but the dr messed mine up. I'm in Jax. If you don't mind me asking how old are you?
