I decided to do lip implants while I was under general anesthesia for my 2nd breast augmentation. I made the decision on Friday the 24th before Monday the 27th surgery. There was some concern on getting the Perma Lip in on time. Dr. Kirbo was willing to have them sent overnight to his personal residence. Going above and beyond for his patients! As for the surgeries, both were a breeze. The 2nd BA is SO much easier - no pain or discomfort at all. Today is Tuesday and I feel I could go back to work had I not done the lip implants. I am having only slight discomfort and swelling with the lip implants. The Vicodin that was prescribed is enough to ease any discomfort. I would describe it as "dull achy" pain but way easier than I anticipated and I am usually very sensitive to pain. I am happy to answer any questions or correspond via personal email. If you are considering lip implants, I say get a reputable surgeon you trust and go for it!

Hello, I’m looking to get perma lips as well! How much did you pay all together. At my consultation they said it will be another 1000.00 for surgical fees not including the implants.

Day 3

Ana_72
Day 3 is the worst so far. Lips are swollen, bruised, hard and tight. The corners where the stitches are look "mushy" and kinda gross. I've been putting Neosporin all over my lips since Day 1 which the nurse told me was fine, but maybe I'll lay off. I iced my lips twice today. Hoping tomorrow will be better. Very little pain though, overall. Still way easier than I anticipated. I would not count on going to work on Day 3.

They look like they will be beautiful!! How long did they tell you it would take before you see the end result? Had you been using filler prior to deciding on the implant ? If so, which filler? And your thoughts on that? Thank you

Hi, I believe 7-10 days healing time, but he said it will take a few months for all the swelling to go down and have the final product. I will continue to post updates as I heal. I tried Restylane filler and had that done (for the first time) about 3 weeks prior to the Perma Lip. I spent $900 for 2 vials of Restylane as I needed one vial for each lip. I loved the look that the Restylane produced, but I felt like it was absorbing quickly. Or maybe I just very quickly got used to it. It just made more sense to go for the lip implants and I'm so glad I did. It has been virtually painless and I won't have to keep coming back spending time and money to achieve the look that I want. :)

Lips before filler and before implants

My top lip was very thin. Forever using lip liner to enhance my lips.

I feel my lips are a lot like this. What length did you get? My Ps said if I go 5mm it would be 60 and 4mm 55. I’m thinking about the 5 on too and 4 on bottom like you. I like ur results!

Hi! I’m sorry to respond so late. I am not sure what length. I left most decisions to my doctor. Please PM me if you would like to know more - happy to answer any questions.
