At it again!

It's been almost 10 months since my original surgery, and I am getting ready to go under the knife again. I have been unhappy with how high my scar is, so Dr. Kirbo is going to lower it. He also said that my hips are still full, so he'll take off more skin there. Oh, and as a bonus I'll get more lipo all in my torso! Thank goodness since I have put on some pounds that I haven't been able to get off. I go in Thursday for my pre-op. You can see from the photos that my scar is above my panty line. I guess I wrote about this previously, so I'll end it here. This second surgery will cost $2,250. Hopefully the scar will be lower this time and I'll be done with plastic surgery!! I have been trying to find a cheaper pair of super low-cut panties to bring in, but I've been pretty unsuccessful. I'm going to tell the good doctor to get it as close to my pubic bone as possible. I'm crossing my fingers!

Three month check up...Revision?!?!

I went to see Dr. Kirbo on Thursday. I haven't had any problems, but I wanted to be brave enough to tell him that I'm not really happy with how high my scar is. I brought it up, and he agreed that it is a little high. He also wasn't very happy with how my hips have healed. It seems to be where he pivoted from working on the back to front (or vice versa). You can really tell on my left hip that there is a weird dent at the scar line. I can tell when I look at the front view that my hips do still look full, but I don't know if I would have known if he hadn't said something. I wonder if he would have said anything if I hadn't brought up the scar. He said he also thought my hips were still a little full. He thinks that if we did a revision, he would be able to pull my scar down a little in the front, and fix the fullness and scars on my hips. I have no idea how much it'll set me/hubby back, but we decided (Dr. Kirbo and me) that when I go back in January we'll talk more about it. It stinks to think about it, but wouldn't it be worth it to get what I wanted?? I guess it all depends on price!
Overall, I'm still really happy that I had the surgery. I love how I look in clothes, and Dr. Kirbo gave me the go ahead to start working out my abs, so maybe I can get some better definition there.

Two month update!

I am two months po, and I am feeling great! I have no pain anywhere, and can do everything without problem. The only thing that I still stay away from is picking up my older kids who are both over 50 pounds. I went back to my Zumba class Thursday night, and I was able to do all of the moves and I wasn't sore the next day.
I have decided that I think that my doctor was a little too over ambitious with how much skin he cut above my belly button, and now my scar is extra high in the front. It is higher in the front than in the back, and only about an inch below my belly button. It sits above all of my panties. I am disappointed about it, but no one sees my stomach except hubby and me, so it's not like I'm showing it off to everyone.
At this point, I am just waiting for my scar to lighten up. I can't wait for it to not be so bright!
For some reason I can't get the pictures to rotate so they are easier to look at. They are right on my computer but not on here! I have given up on trying to rotate them, so you'll have to turn your head. Sorry!
