A Tale of Two Lip Lifts

ORIGINAL POST

A Tale of Two Lip Lifts

WORTH IT$2,800
Had lip lift in Nov 2019. Dr Mascaro is excellent, the surgery was quick (numbing shots hurt a bit but definitely manageable) and painless afterwards. Slight pressure and ache under nose that night (not even requiring an aspirin). From there on, no pain at all. Sutures so meticulous that they were invisible to me from Day 1.
Note: I had a LL in 2011 with a different doctor near Baltimore and although the final result was very good (that doctor had advised taking more mm's off and I should have listened), the actual procedure and recovery time were bad experiences. I only took the chance with Dr. M because so many of his patients looked presentable in a fairly short period of time. Going back to the first doctor was not even an option due to the long down time.
First time around, the numbing shots were horrendous, post-op pain required analgesia for about 48 hours, and the swelling was intense. I stayed in for three weeks and did not look "normal" for 6.
After this second time, with Dr M, I was walking outside within 72 hours. A little swollen but no one stared. Within two weeks, I felt a bit puffy in upper lip, no one else noticed at all. At 17 days, where I am now, there is no visible scar. Then again, there never was one. Still a little stiff, of course, and expect to be for another month.
Dr M's prices are very reasonable, his office staff is friendly and very efficient. Can't rate highly enough.

That's great to hear the recovery was much easier for you this time x
Where is his office? Pics?
All info above by clicking his link at the top.
His info anyway.
How much did you take off in total?
7 mm, I think
Yep, Dr. M is on the radar!! No scarring or bruising with this doc. He has a magic talent!!
Ransrvr it really depends on the individual. I was bruised and swollen, still swollen in fact and I'm almost 3 months. This lady was one of the lucky ones but some, like myself, have a hard recovery.
Oh noooo!!! I'm so sorry to hear that you are still experiencing bruising and swelling. It seems like Dr. M uses something in his procedure to eliminate bruising... from what I've been told. But, not everyone heals at the same pace. I do hope, though, you love your lip lift and hopefully within time... the bruising and swelling will dissipate. Healing hugs!!!
Thank you so much Ransrvr.
