ORIGINAL POST
I had always thought of doing a double eyelid...
I had always thought of doing a double eyelid surgery for a nicer eyes ; i have done some research online about this , made some enquiries with local clinics but still never get down to doing it ... during a recent vacation to Taiwan ; I did a price check in a random clinic and somehow decide to just do it there and then ; as the nurses there assured me that it was a very simple procedure ...
I read in many blogs where the non incision method is simple and recovery is within 1 to 2 weeks ; but for my case it seems to take longer than i thought...
Because my double eyelids height still seem too high or too thick even though is week 3 already ... I thought by day 5 should be more or less natural looking already for non incision method ?
The nurse of the clinic in Taiwan have been following up with me using Facebook messenger... And she assured me that everything is normal and it will take another 1 to 3 month for it to look natural and for the creases height to reduce by half ... Seriously ?! I hope it is not a botched job ... I am having thoughts about redoing already .., and i have been pouring through all the blogs and forums and medical sites about the double eyelids surgery ...
I recall the doctor telling me during the op prior to doing my left eyes that initially the right side will have higher crease die to the swelling and the difference between my 2 eyes ... Not sure if i remember wrongly ... Because both my eyes is asymmetrical now... ???? there is slight internal pain when i touch it.. So maybe still swelling internally ,.. Every morning it will swell and the height of the crease will look "too high" like week 1 and by evening it will decrease ~40% of the height ... Not sure if the height will stay this high every morning and feeling worried ..

Thank you for starting a review. Honestly you just need to be patient, it is too soon to know anything yet, and each eye had it's own experience during surgery so each eye will heal a little differently. Hang in there! Please keep us posted with review updates on how the rest of your healing goes.

I think your eyes look really nice too. I am on day 19 after second Asian upper bleph and am asymmetrically swollen as well. I was pretty even for 1st time but not this time, maybe bec of scar tissue. You look like you are healing well and more quickly than I am. Everyone is different in their swelling. For me, I think at about 6 months my eyes looked really natural. Hang in there!

Thanks :) your words is encouraging :) you did ur eyes about same time as me...nice to know that. Mine is non-incisional so i guess it will heal faster ; realise that probably alot of blogs which rave about the double eyelid suture might be exaggerating about the healing time :p my clinic told me to wait like 3 months but i realise with less salty intake the eyes crease height looks better. Why did you do a 2nd time for ur eyelid ?

I wanted a higher crease and to disconnect the inner corners. I went from looking like a freak immediately after surgery--one eye super open and wide and the other eye half closed. Our emotions go through a roller coaster after surgery... This is normal but I was really depressed for a couple of weeks. Things are slowly improving, thank God. I think it will for you as well. Keep thinking positive and follow your doctor's instructions and week to week you should see an improvement.

It is getting better now but i still find the crease height a little high . Probably is normal , i will wait another 1 month to see how it settles ; i am glad that the clinic still contact me and follow up on my recovery progress . Prior to surgery i thought that the recovery for non incisional double eyelid is very short ; but it actually took awhile ; although no visible bruise or extreme swelling after 3 weeks ; 4 weeks pass and i still feel a little painful when i touch it the wrong way .
