I am a petite 52 year old and had a mini tummy tuck, Lipo and muscle repair. As I got older and after having two children one by csection my stomach muscles were never tight and I had such a bulge around my midsection. I was never much of an exerciser but active and finally decided it was now or never. Our children are married and with the support of my husband and family made the decision. It was difficult to determine when to schedule the surgery with everything going on in life but I'm happy I chose October 17, 2017. I selected Dr. Deboni after speaking with friends who had used him and were very pleased with their results. It took several years to do some soul searching and make the decision to call the office for a consultation. I was scared to death! After meeting with Dr. Deboni my fears were gone, he was very comfortable to talk to explaining what procedures I should have to give the best results. Next we met with the Office Manager, Cathy who reviewed the costs associated with the procedure and helpful information I should know along the way. It’s been a very long recovery and a painful one. I’m looking forward to the end results!

Yes it was a painful recovery but well worth it! I took almost 3-4 weeks off of work. The fourth week went back half days. Definitely get some help and support while you are home, you will need it

I too had a csection 27 years ago and was informed by my PS to treat the recovery time as such. As long as you are on pain meds you can not drive and I didn’t feel secure enough to drive until 4 weeks and I didn’t go far plus I had one drain in for several weeks which my husband drained each night. Listen to your body, take time to rest to heal, lean on your Mom and hubby, housework will always be there.

Now I am back to normal other than swelling and muscle spams occurring every now and then which I think maybe due to the diastasis repair. I will tell you it took me several months to feel like myself again as I was struggling with the pain, changes occurring with my body, whether I made the right decision or not. I will be 10 months post op on August 17, 2018 and feel much better mentally and physically! I think the pain was different than the c-section I had 27 years ago. Honestly I can't remember much about the pain. When is your surgery?

These pictures were taken in the evening after a day of sitting at work, very swollen in a lot of pain on my right side and looking huge. Wasn’t feeling the greatest about myself and anxious about the continuing numbness and hardness below the belly button. My incision is healing very well and has faded nicely. Continue to be tchy and dry and have been using wheat germ oil softgels. Splitting them open and massaging the scar but avoiding the center of my incision where I had a little hole which has since healed and now a suture abscess.
