I'm 6 days post. I iced it for the first 3 days. Should I continue to ice it? Will it help? Or does it not help after the initial Iceing ? I still have the bullfrog look. I can deal with the bruising with makeup, and only hurts if I touch it. It is getting warmer and I don't know how long I can I pull off wearing scarves! I'm also 60, but in good shape and good skin, hardly any wrinkles. Will the swelling last longer because of my age? I'm freaking out a little!

Can you tell us the doctor you chose? How does it feel 2 days later? Just curious if you consulted with more than one doctor before choosing the one you went to. I don't think icing would do any harm, maybe an OTC anti inflammatory as well?

I had it done at North Shore Cosmetic center by a certified technician who I've had work done with before. Always had good results

Thanks for the info, I've been so nervous about choosing a competent professional to apply the injections. I live in Nassau County as well.

I am 55 and had Kybella and no icing it won't help with the swelling mine was swollen 2 weeks.

I was swollen for a week afterwards. I would not go out of the house for the first 3 days with the bullfrog neck. The swelling was less obvious on days 4-7 but I would wear a scarf around my neck if I did go out. I iced every hour when possible, and I think it did help. I also took Bromelain and Arnica Montana. I am 60 years old also but swelling is different on everyone.

I had neck lipo in December and am glad I did when it was cold and an excuse to wear scarves until I healed. Good luck!

Is this normal?

I'm post 8 days. I wish I took pictures from day 1, to tell if the swelling went down at all. Friend (those I show) say it's not as bad as I think. I feel like my grandmother who had a Gouda ???? I'm getting nervous it'll never go down!

A Goiter, lol. The neck is such a sensitive area, it will take time for the swelling to go down. Can't wait to see pictures a week or two from now!

Unfortunately yes it is ! I was disappointed with kybella I had 2 treatments and now my neck is saggy looking. I think it's crazy how they say no downtime because unless you don't care about looking like a bullfrog it's embarrassing !

So your neck is worse since treatment ??

Kybella does nothing for the neck only the fat under the chin but the area where the fat was dissolved is droopy it's because of age I wish I would have saved the $$ and had a lower face lift but my Dr. told me in the consult that 55 was his cutoff age for kybella so I knew going in I probably wouldn't get the results I wanted ! Sorry I get side tracked so the answer to your ?? is no my neck is the same but under the chin is loose and saggy !

I think it depends on your skin laxity. I'm 50 & my skin actually tightened up after my Kybella treatment. My neck & chin look amazing!

Really ? I asked my Dr. If Kybella would tighten my neck and he said no. Hmmm
