First of all let me give a huge thanks to all of the amazing women that have shared their stories! It's been so inspirational to read about all the ups and downs and have this wealth of knowledge and experience at my fingertips.
I am a single mother of one son (18). I love my son like crazy but he sure did a number on my tummy. Age and gravity haven't been on my side either. I've wanted my stomach fixed for as long as I can remember and now I'm finally in the position financially that I can afford it. I go back and forth emotionally every few days though. Some days I feel like I've waited this long and given my son all I could for the last 18 years and I deserve this for myself and other days I feel extremely guilty for spending such a large chunk of money on me. : /
I haven't felt really excited yet like I always pictured I would. Instead I've been more focused on "nesting", making sure everything is taken care of and all my supplies are purchased. I bought a raised toilet seat with arms, a walker, and also a memory foam mattress topper that I am going to cut a hole in for my butt so I can still lay on my back without putting pressure directly on it. I've heard some ladies get recliners for post surgery but I'm just not sure how you would position yourself in a recliner and not have pressure on your butt. I've also heard others saying they had to sleep on their sides but I'm not sure how painful that will be after lipo. So my best solution was the mattress topper with a hole cut for the booty. Any insight on this would be much appreciated from you ladies that have been through both procedures at the same time. I hope my surgeon approves.
I will be taking three weeks off work and I do have the option of taking another week but I really hope I don't need to. My job is very physical and I'm on my feet almost all day and always lifting heavy things (batteries, tires, etc).
My pre op appt is December 9th and I have a bunch of questions for Dr. Kerr and Vlasta. So far I've felt very comfortable with them.
That's all for now. Thanks for reading so far and I hope my story will help someone else like so many others have done for me. Ttyl gorgeous ladies!

Wish pics
I have my pre op appt on Dec 9th and I have my wish pics picked out. I don't want to overwhelm Dr. Kerr so I only picked my top three.
I also forgot to mention I had a c-section with my son and that I've maintaned the same weight for the last 18 years. I'm finally starting to feel some excitement. So looking forward to being on the flat side! Happy healing ladies. : )

Excited to watch your transformation!! Hope your surgery goes awesome!! I'm wanting to do about the same surgeries. Still in the planning/hoping stage. Like you and so many others I'm trying to convince myself that it's ok to spend that amount of money on me. Good luck : ) xxxx

Thank you so much! It took me 18 years to get to this point so I completely understand all the hesitations women go through. Not only is it A LOT of money it's hard to let go and have others take care of you when you're so used to being the caregiver.
I'm starting to get more and more excited everyday and the more I see my big blob of a stomach in the mirror the more I feel like I need this to feel like myself again. Every woman deserves that. : )
