Bangkok 2014 was the first time I had my ears surgically pinned back. (Otoplasty)
I was quite surprised at Clinic at the Bangkok hospital where the consultation and surgery took place. I found it a little difficult to get across to the doctor what I wanted but as we had Medical Solutions guide to help with language barrier, this helped a heap. The procedure went fine, although I didn't sleep for the first 3 days as I was told to sleep sitting up. I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics which made the experience a whole lot worse as I was vomiting.
3 months past, my ears were still sore and my dissolvable stitches were still visible and I could feel them. They hadn't dissolved as they were meant to.
We contacted the Bangkok surgeon and he suggested I come back and have one protruding ear pinned back again for free, but the other not.
In the meantime I did everything the surgeon told me to do such as wearing headbands to bed every night etc. but they still stuck out.
My ears after Bangkok were 60% better than they were before I had surgery but I still tend to wear hair covering over top of my sticky out ears.
I then found Realself and started searching if other people had the same problem. I found one young lady with the same problem and sent her a message.
After chatting to Mum, I emailed Md Cosmedical in Sydney, Australia and was astound with the response from the medical receptionist and the Manager. I was so excited after hearing about Bar Ear Correction and paid my deposit and set a date.
Arriving from Western Australia on Tuesday morning not knowing really how the Stitch Method was going to take place I didn't really care as long as my ears would be fixed.
Wednesday morning came and I was so nervous, at how much it would hurt like last time.
Surgery was over in less that 2 hours, I spoke to the nurse most the time and both Vicky and Dr Beaini made me feel so comfortable.
After surgery we took advantage of my ears still being numb and did some touristy stuff.
There were only a few dots of blood on my ears and I only had a little bit of pain afterwards.
1 week later and I am able to sleep on my side comfortably and there is no pain to my ears.
I really really wish I knew about the procedure before I went to Bangkok and am grateful that I found out about Realself and came across CGor post about her experience.
I have had the best experience and had the best little holiday with no pain.
Thank you so much MD COSMEDICAL.
