London's Lip Queen!? Never Experienced Such a Horrific Time in a Practice - London, GB

After reviewing lip procedure reviews online, I read great things about Dr Rita Rakas who is apparently regarded as Londons 'Lip Queen' and specialises in this field. I decided after reading these reviewed to book an appointment and they offer a free consultation which I thought was good, however when I got there it felt like a factory conveyer belt! When you arrive you are greeted by their less than friendly staff, and escorted to a lounge with a grand piano to sit with other patients. I waited an hour before I had my consultation, which consisted of 3 questions of why was I here, did I have any medical conditions, and had I had the procedure before. I was then asked if I wanted it today to which I said yes. Rita then looked at her assistant pointed to the door, and I was handed several bits of paper and escorted back to the lounge to sit with cream on in front of all the other patients, and the whole consultation took just over a minute! It was very rushed and felt like her minions were just there to usher people in and out the door. I then sat down to look at the price and I was blown away at how expensive it was at around £650 for half a ml and £750 for 1ml! I asked the staff if this was correct and was told it was. I waited another hour in the waiting room before I was ushered in by one of the assistants to have my treatment. I got told to sit down not to move and she just came over without addressing me to place the Juvederm in my lips. She put it not just in my lips but then added some to my nasal folds which I did not even ask for, and I said before I went in I just wanted half a ml, but they used 1ml without even consulting with me! I was then ushered out by one of Rita's junior doctors who was so cold. I was then charged for 1ml and said I only wanted half, but she said Rita said there needed to be more. I dont know any practice that would just go ahead and put in more in without consulting with the client first! I was then offered an aftercare appointment by the junior doctor but was told if this was not necessary to call them straight away as it wastes their time if there is nothing wrong. I walked away £750 down, feeling upset, uncared for and quite shocked about how this practice is run. I have been to other practices and know this is defiantly not the norm, and she is making thousands trading off celebrities and marketing campaigns. The results were ok but they wore off within a month and my lips went back to normal. I dont usually write reviews, but felt I was treated so badly I needed to warn people of the risks. It is defiantly not worth the price tag, and I would avoid at all costs unless your a celebrity being paid to go here!
