Before and after of skin removal

$7,995
14 lbs. Told the combination of too much skin removal plus the lipo an how high he cut was the cause. I'm sure there was every intention of good results but it was too aggressive leaving me devastated. Something I wanted for 10 yrs turned horrible lost wages, medical bills, and still feeling the same if not worse than b4 surgery! Sharing in hopes to help women and make him that much mmore careful in surgery and with his continuity of care after.

I am so sorry for what you're going through and hope all will be better for you gosh it's horrible to want something for so many years and it turns into a nightmare
All this has nothing to do with cleanliness of the doctor, the instruments or the OR? What an awful experience for you. The pain, the time and extra expense...and to top it off, he sounded to me, like it was no big deal! Don’t forget to write a review on yelp, if you have not done so already. It may be worth it for you to dispute the payment you made to him, if by credit card, at the very least, try to get some of your money back. Have you Considered contacting an attorney in the future?
You may not even check this anymore, but I had a consult with him today. I’m so sorry you experienced this, but I feel compelled to tell you how he spoke about this. I did not see this until just now, btw. He was talking about wound issues and blood supply post surgery, etc. I could tell he was thinking about a particular experience, and I can assure you that at no point in time did I think he was minimizing the complication and wasn’t disappointed and even sad that someone he performed surgery on had a bad outcome. He also talked about how he was much more conservative after that experience with regard to Lipo during a tummy tuck. I know that it’s no consolation, but it obviously had impacted him and changed his practice for the better. Again, I’m so sorry you experienced this, and I hope you’ve had complete healing.
This doctor should have his license revoked. This is unforgivable. Plenty of other surgeons out there are available rather than give him a second chance. If he gives her a full refund plus compensation for her medical bills, then we can talk.
Where did u see the june 2019 necrosis patient ?
Where did u see the june 2019 necrosis patient ?
There wasn't. That was a mistake confusing someone else, not this doctor. So I messaged realself to delete it which they did. Even though it sounds like it was against the terms the moderator that deleted told me that is a standard message. But the necrosis is definitely the doctor's fault.

Necrosis is a risk after surgery, just as blood cloths and it could happen to anyone, there are always risks when you get surgery, his license can’t be revoked, it’s a risk and it’s written on the documents you sign before going under the knife, I just had a tummy tuck with him a few months ago with no complications and I am very satisfied with my results, just because one person had a complication doesn’t mean that all the others will have it too
Amiv your comment is now rude. Hoe do you know I was at fault how do you know that he was or wasn't. Necrosis can happen for several reasons INCLUDING that of the dr such as too agressive skin removal, too much lipo etc. ...what i do know is I had necrosis and the lady after my surgery the next surgery got it and 2 others i found around my time frame. That was worrysome. Let me be clear my issue wasn't that I got necrosis it was how he handled the necrosis. He initially downplayed it, made incorrect recommendations, discouraging wound care, gsve me nitropaste too late, made rude comments after i was crying and freaking scared. That behavior was why I was ticked. AND BECAUSE OF MY REVIEWS WOMEN LIKE YOU ARE FEING BETTER AFTERCARE AND HE HAS CHANGED UP HIS TECHNIQUES TO MINIMIZE NECROSIS. LIKELY IF IT DOES OCCUR NOW HE KNOWS WHAT TO DO AND IS ON TOP OF IT.....so guy youre welcome. ..... ahd yes for the initial lack of knowledge and priority of taking care of his necrosis patient i do think i should recieve a FULL refund. It would affect him at all...I would even remove my reviews as I know he had changed his procedures but he could carelesss about me or how i'm left disfigured.

Almost healed

I showed my before photos and after to another ps and he was shocked to see how much skin was removed. 14lbs! He said he was actually stunned that I didn't have more necrosis! I should be closed within 1 week. This has been a nightmare that I'm ready to wake up from. I have a voicemail from Dr Bancroft apologizing to me only after I finally contact him through insta to let him know I would be sharing my story as I was getting no culture, concerns were brushed off, no antibotics, gave me nitro paste way too late etc. In the voicemail he says I'll have beautiful results ....i have a butthole looking scar and indention. I guess if that's what he considers beautiful.

3 weeks on vac

I was on the vac for 3 weeks. All undermining and tunneling is gone. My granulation is to the surface and my wound is the size of a quarter. I'll be 3 months on Sept 11th. My next wound care appt is Sept 12th . I'm so unhappy with my indention and discolored skin and the of shaped scar I will be left with.

Wow our wound is coming along nicely with respect to how quickly it’s healing. Are our off the VAC already? How are they currently treating you?
Yes I'm off the vac...its healed quickly once on the vac, but I was told it will probably be anther month before it closes on its own. It's so ugly the indention.
So sorry you had such a bad experience. Has your new PS said that there is a chance for a care revision! I’m having mine done next month and a bit nervous. My PS though has been doing it for 25 years and was a professor and resident surgeon at the Mayo Clinic.. I ope he has been honest with me!
I’m so sorry you had to go through all of this. How scary!! I’m glad that it has healed and Is not a health issue anymore and I pray that they can do a revision for you.
This looks like exactly wha happened to me. Wound care back home told me it was from a hematoma but wasn't surgeon fault, just something that append as I've had issues with my abdomen healing with previous c-sections
