Drain removed!
Finally got my last drain out last week! Now I have been trying to take it easy. My lower abdomen has been swollen this week. But on the bright side, my scar is healing amazingly.

Week 3
It has truly been a journey. Surprisingly, the mental journey has been tougher than the physical journey. I'm a very independent person so it's hard for me to still have to ask people for help no matter how small. I thought by week 3 I would be back to my pre surgery self (wasn't thinking logically). I still have one drain left. It doesn't really bother me much but I'm ready for it to come out. Hopefully it will be able to be removed by Monday. Other than that, I'm progressing ok.

Good morning,
Glad your doing well. I'm new to RS and have enjoyed all the personal journeys, they have indeed been helpful. I've had a couple of consultations. I haven't made a final decision on my PS. Although I'm strongly considering a TT but wonder how much I can accomplish physically....... any regrets?

Hi! Welcome to RS. Just a little back story about me. I had twins 15 years ago and have wanted a TT since. Well I was finally at a place where I could do something for myself and not feel guilty. I honestly have no regrets. However, I wasn't realistic about the recovery process. I thought I would get the surgery and be down like 2 weeks and then everything would be back to normal. So mentally when that wasn't the case, I started to feel down. I had read another review before my surgery and the poster said she had the blues after surgery. I just didn't think it would happen to me. I am very pleased with my results. I am listening to my body more now too. I don't feel bad if I sleep for 10 hours (I averaged 4.5 hrs before surgery). Just taking recovery one day at a time. Sorry for the long reply. Good luck on your journey.
