I am a skinny girl with a fat belly. Constantly asked if I'm pregnant or when the baby is due. I am a mother to 4 year old twin boys. They were big for twins 38 weeks 6'7 and 6'9 and reaked havoc on my abdominal area. I have an umbilical hernia, diastasis and a deformed belly. I have wanted to get a tummy tuck for 4 years now. I work out almost everyday but nothing seems to help.

I'm a mother of 3 years old twins and I was so small. I had a hernia, diastasis, and deformed belly also. I recently had TT surgery to repair my belly. I have been where you are now and I am very active, but people kept asking me was a pregnant again! It has almost been 3 wks since I had my TT and lipo and i can see a big difference. It's painful as h***, but if you have the support system you will get through it. Good luck on your journey!

I had twins that were 7.35 and 7.53 :/. We are kindred spirits. I'm hoping to have a tummy tuck soon. I have extensive stretchmarks ans diastasis rect from that pregnancy and then when I had my daughter I developed an umbilical hernia that causes me discomfort and pain. Like you I am pretty active and can even "see" abs under the flab, but there's the flab :(. Hopefully after my consult this week I'll be right there with you.

I'm glad to know I'm not alone. People look at me like I'm crazy when I say I'm getting a tummy tuck. But they haven't seen my disaster of a tummy! Good luck with whatever you decide and let me know how it turns out!

I get the same reaction. I feel like I have to justify it by telling them the pain but really if I showed them the tummy without sucking in jaws would drop :/. I will let you know!

I'm in the process of getting a loan for the surgery. It's starting to feel real. I'm nervous and excited. I can't wait to be on "the flat side". I just want to be normal again. To be able to wear a shirt that's not baggy. To not have to tell people that "no, I'm not pregnant".

Second opinion

So I went to see another plastic surgeon today for a second opinion. He said he was 85-90% sure he could reduce my umbilical hernia but there was a chance that he may not be able to and save my belly button. There was a chance I wouldn't have a freakin belly button?! He also told me the scar would be high. Anyone else have a doctor tell them that? I want a doctor who is confident they can do a good job, not maybe. So I'm sticking to the first plastic surgeon. PreOp appointment on March 3rd. I'm getting excited.
