My Brachial Plasty Journey - Washington DC, DC

Here is my before and after picture. After was taken two days after surgery so my arm looks a little stif lol

Since my teenage years, I have always struggled with arm fat. Not being able to wear certain long sleeves shirts not only because of the size of my arms but also because I was born with Erbs Palsy (making my left arm smaller than my right arm). After losing 50 pounds, my right arm was still larger than the left, however now I had excess skin in the arm area. I received Dr. Richards contact information from my sister and my journey from there was great!!! This procedure was my first surgery EVER and I was extremely nervous about being put under general anesthesia, however Dr. Richards was extremely patient with my and answered my many questions from the surgery to healing process. I rarely felt any pain after surgery and Dr. Richards was available via phone for any questions that I had, which made me feel comfortable that I didn’t have to worry about anything.

It has been about 4 months since my surgery and to my surprise my scar is healing very well (SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THAT); I was able to go sleeveless the month after my surgery because of the position of the scar. This surgery was well worth it and I am so Thankful of Dr. Richards and his team!!!!
