Subcision for Acne Scarring

WORTH IT
I had been researching treatments for acne scarring for years. I had cystic acne scars (significant rolling scars on my cheeks) for over two decades- they were a source of embarrassment for a long time. Now in my 40’s, I started noticing that my collagen was decreasing and making my scarring more noticeable- and it was even more prominent when I smiled. I did NOT want to feel self-conscious about smiling, it’s an act of joy! So I decided to look into it again (I had been too busy w/my young kids to prioritize it for years). Dr. Taylor had such a great record so I went to see him for a consult. He was so kind and helpful! I eventually scheduled once I had some significant time off work. He assured me he had a lot of patients with young kids and it could be done! I was hoping for 60-70% improvement- I was surprised with closer to 90%! And it stimulated my collagen on top of it all! Now I smile and have no self-consciousness about my scarring- and the combined lasers for acne scar resurfacing w/the subcision helped eliminate my sun damage too! So grateful to Dr. Taylor and his team!

Hi.. I'm 28 years old and I have significant rolling acne scars on my face. I'm already 3 subcision in + filler and c02 lazed on top. 3 months in and I'm seeing about 20% results... next week I have my 4th treatment... how many treatments you did? And after how long you see full results?

Are you getting individual scar subcision? I saw some of that in my research but I did “the full Monty” as you might say where Dr. Taylor filled my face with tumescent anesthesia, separating my skin layer from my nerves and blood vessels so he could go in through a small incision near my ear with this instrument he designed and named “the Taylor liberator” if I recall correctly. It is much more invasive with more downtime than the subcision approach that utilizes a cánula to lift individual scars. But, the results (with some laser resurfacing) seemed to be much more prominent in my research. Check out Dr. Taylor’s other patient reviews on here.

Hi. Like I said i have my 4th treatment soon and it's my last. I'm 28 years old and I run out of money I don't have money anymore to visit other clinics or whatever. I payed around 12k to this clinic here in mississauga Ontario it's called Bella Clinic. I did about 4 subcision with fillers 4 co2 lazers 1 microneedling and 3 prp. All I wanted to know is how long it took for you to see the full 90% results?

And yes she did the normal subcision with cannula

Wow! 12k!? I didn’t pay that much for this, I new to look back at my receipts but I think it was more like 9-10k total w/a few extras like protein rich plasma for speedier healing. It was really rough the first couple weeks but as I saw the new skin in the first month, I could see vast improvement. I had to be very very careful about sun exposure while I was pink. I was pretty pink the first 9 months, but I flush easily. My photos are a year apart. Everyone is different but his was my experience. I hope your healing goes well. I didn’t do this until my 40s and saw a ton of improvement still. You are still very young.
