Like so many, I've been struggling with the look...

Like so many, I've been struggling with the look of my "lady parts" for a very long time. I can't describe the feeling I had when I first heard about a surgery that actually aims on improving the look of the labia. I've been doing some research then but since I was (and still am) so super embarrassed about my looks down there, I wasn't even comfortable enough to get a consultation... This changed this year when I was finally taking my first steps and saw a doctor to hear his opinion. I wasn't very convinced so I decided to see another doctor. I was very happy with his consultation, he suggested the trim method because my main problem are the "darker endings" of my labia. Plus I don't want them to be hanging out anymore. So I guess you could say that I want nice, small pink lips :). My surgery will be in 4 days... Oh my god... I can't believe I'm actually doing it.... I've read so much about it and found the "first hand reviews" on here the most helpful, so I decided to share my experiences on here to help others who are also thinking about this procedure but can't talk to anyone about this.

I have just one concern about all this:

I received a job offer in New York and I'll be moving there by the end of the month. I know it's terrible timing.... Just cancelling my appointment and doing it in New York isn't an option as I definitely won't be able to miss work. It just won't be a good look if I did. Now I have the time to actually take it easy until my departure so I thought this is the better option to do it while I'm still here (in Germany). I'll almost have 3 weeks after my surgery before I get on the plane.
Going by the many reviews I read - I'm guessing that after 3 weeks most of the pain, swelling, bruising and discomfort is gone... I will hope for a good recovery and will keep you updated on my journey :).

ps: I'm not brave enough to show pre-pics yet but I promise I'll upload some pre and post pics after surgery :)

Hallo, ich komme auch aus Deutschland und möchte auch eine Labienverkleinerung. Ist dieser Arzt gut? Also haben Sie gute Erfahrungen gemacht bzw. haben Sie von anderen gute Erfahrungen gehört? Also weshalb haben Sie diesen Arzt ausgesucht?

Day 1

maleni1
So yesterday I had the surgery and it went very well. The most painful part of the whole procedure were the injections in the beginning - the surgery itself was over very quickly. I was released like 20min after I was stitched up and drove straight to work :).

After 2 hours I felt a stinging pain when the anesthesia started to stop working. I drove home and rested for the rest of the day. The nurse gave me Ibuprofen 600, I took one and iced the area. I wasn't feeling any pain and I'm not very swollen besides on the bottom part a little bit. Just a discomfort and the movements were (and are) pretty slow as I didn't want to tear anything.

I took another Ibuprofen before I went to bed and slept all night without waking up once. I was sleeping on the side, legs closed, no pain at all. I expected to be bruised up and swollen like a baboon on heat in the morning lol... but it looks the same as yesterday. Very little swelling, no major bruising. I can say that I'm already happy about the way it looks - even though it looks like a Franken Vagina with those stitches.. Still nothing is hanging out anymore !! I went to work for 3,5hrs but then decided to go home and lay down. Not because I was uncomfortable but I don't want to overdo it. Thankfully my working hours are very flexible and I just sit at the desk without having to move around much.

I've read so many horror stories, I thought this will be hell !!! but so far this has been far from a traumatic experience for me, I have no complaints.

Medication/Hygiene:
I started taking Arnica a day before the surgery and have been taking it since. I don't know if that's the reason for the mild swelling, bruising.

Been taking three Ibuprofen 600 since the anesthesia stopped working (roughly every 6hrs).

I cover the wound with sterile gazes as and 'extra protection' on top of the regular lady-pad I have in my underwear. It feels good and it gives me the feeling like it's protected from anything that could cause an infection in this early stage of healing.

I can definitely recommend a doughnut cushion! Especially if you want to drive your car and/or work quickly after the procedure. It feels great and does wonders :)

I'm hoping my recovery will continue to go so smoothly! If it does it will possibly help others to see that this procedure is not so bad after all :)
