CONSULTATIONPROFILE

At the age of 52, I had prior experience with some fat grafting for loss of volume in my face along with a Septo/Rhinoplasty with a PS that was favorably reviewed by many in my area. The experience was OK and the results were an improvement, but I was left with a disappointing feeling and realized too late that my Dr. and I had not come to a decisive agreement about the procedure goals. After 3 years I had regretfully decided I had to accept and live with the nose he had given me, but I felt the need for a possible refresher for the facial volume that had receded a bit over time ( I have been told it is common for some fat loss and for the procedure to need to be repeated occasionally) I decided to seek out someone more specialized in the facial area only. I consulted with Dr. Corrado and found him to be patient, informed, and highly communicative. He explained in detail the procedure and his goals and made certain my goals were realistic. (not my experience with the previous PS) Following the procedure the next day, I met with him again. He went over the results with me and made sure to entertain any questions or concerns I had, gave me healing instructions and sent me off until the following week. My results were wonderful. Not overly done, yet a fuller smoother looking face with more youthful cheek contours, little to no bruising (and I am a bruiser !). Here is where I began to realize the difference between Dr. Corrado and my previous PS. As I had no previous experience, I was satisfied with the previous Dr. and my interactions with him. In hindsight, the previous PS, spent very little time listening to me and finding out what I wanted. He seemed to have his own ideas of what he was going to do. If I questioned too much he seemed almost offended that I would have to question him on anything. Dr. Corrado is patient and does not make you feel judged when asking detailed questions. (after all, we are talking about changes to our face here!) The previous Dr. went room to room juggling patients with a waiting room full of people while I sat waiting and feeling like I was taking up his time if I asked too many questions. Dr. Corrado sits you down in a private room and gives you his complete attention. You do not feel rushed and you leave the appointment feeling like you had all of your questions and concerns addressed. Back to the procedure. The donor site on my previous Fat transfer was sore and bruised for literally at least 2-3 months. After the first week my donor site was only slightly bruised with Dr. Corrado. A testament to the gentle extraction procedure and the care with handling the fat. I have heard this goes a long way with the longevity and the success of the fat cells survival. So, having said all of this. I was so impressed with Dr. Corrado that I consulted with him for a revision rhinoplasty to correct the problems with the previous procedure. If you are considering having anything done in the facial area. Do NOT proceed until you have given Dr. Corrado a chance to review your situation. You will be in very capable hands. Also, a shout out to his capable staff. They are very friendly and accommodating. The revision Rhino is yet to be scheduled but pending. Stay Tuned !!!!!!
