My Story (Strap In, It's Long) Drainless Tummy Tuck / Rectus Plication Repair with Glued Outer Incision

16 weeks post op

WORTH IT$8,425
Hi guys, it's been a few weeks!
Mainly as nothing much has changed, but I'm going to post a couple of photos anyway. If you look at my scar close up, it looks paler, but from a distance it doesnt look any different right now . I have another surgical scar across my neck which seemed to go darker for a few months before it started going paler so perhaps that's how my skin heals, who knows!
Despite being told you can resume bedroom gymnastics after 3 weeks, it was really more like 6, but more because I was paranoid of undoing any good work, not because I was sore (priorities!)
I just started back on my core exercises 2 weeks ago at 14 weeks post. I have no pain whilst doing those but definitely feel it later in the evening and generally get a small amount of centralised swelling which has gone by the following morning.
I've also stopped using the kelocote scar gel (I used it for 12 weeks) as I didnt really think it was doing much and have just been using a really good moisturiser a couple of times a day.

I’m in total awe just looking at your tummy. It’s hard to believe it’s the same person. Look at that teeny tiny waist and FLAT TUMMY!! It’s like you lost 25 pounds of fat!! Congrats. Congrats. Congrats.
You should post a before and after photo side by side. It’s something like you see on tv.
Aww Haha thank you. Its genuinely made a massive difference to me on a personal level as well as physically. I'll find time to do a before and after side by side, that's a great idea!
Yes, it can certainly be a mental health boost when we go through a plastic surgery procedure! It’s a self esteem issue. I certainly can relate to that. I’ve never had much self confidence until I tweaked some of my features and started working out. Taking a side by side pic is just such a fun comparison for all to see. And, sometimes it is a motivator for others!!! Good luck. Take a peek at my profile.
Oh I hope mine comes out looking just as fantastic. You look amazing!!
Well good luck with it all, I'm sure you'll look fantastic, keep us posted!
I’m going to put down my deposit for my tummy tuck I’m afraid because I don’t know what to expect but I really want to have it done my sister had one but she keeps telling me to do it in the winter
I guess the only advantage to having it done in the Winter is that you're all healed and ready for your holidays by Summer. You need to plan it around what's convenient for you and your family/work/personal commitments though. I had mine done in January because it's the only time of year I could take 3 weeks off work. My son is 18 so doesn't need to rely on me for anything luckily!
Your result has to be the best I have seen on here your tummy is so flat! you look amazing.

Hiding my scar

Sorry, the photos didn't upload on my previous post so here they are! One photo shows my scar with camoflage concealer in the bright light of my bathroom and the other in the dimly (ambience, ladies!) lit bedroom...

'Hiding' my scar at 8 weeks

I recently bought some heavy pigment concealer - Camoflage Cream by Make Up Forever. It claims to be waterproof and smudge proof and you can apply it in layers to build up the coverage. It only takes a few minutes for it to set so application in layers doesn't need to be time consuming, though you do need to blend it pretty quickly for the same reason!
These pictures show me with only 2 layers in the harsh reality of the bathroom light and then in the dimly lit date night bedroom hahaha. As you can see, with the lights down low you can't really see my scar with the concealer applied!

What's the name of the make up concealer and where can I buy it?
Also you look amazing, looking to have that done this summer. Where did you go for surgery and what doctor did your surgery.
Thank you sorry for all the questions
