How Long Does It Take to Feel Somewhat Normal

UPDATED FROM anbus2007

7 mos after Lipo

WORTH IT$5,900
So I have lipo 7 mos ago on 6 areas on and around my midsection and I am so unhappy with my results. The pain I was and the cost was not worth it and I don’t know what to do about it. The doctor office that performed the procedure just says I should have continued with the massages. At this point I really don’t know if that would have made a huge differences. Does anyone have any advice for me? Please see before and after photos.

Hey doll, it looks like it was uneven lipo and you may have to get a rd2 to fix what she messed up.
I think your doctor messed up. He/she should acknowledge this. I gave up on my massages very early on. My recovery was horrific and I had an infection post op. However 4 years after my lipo/ tummy tuck. My stomach is still somewhat flat.
And I gained weight.
I wish you the best.
Nonsense. The messages are more for comfort
He should have done a tt
I went through the same thing as you. It is very upsetting and disappointing, especially for the cost we pay to look and feel better! I fought my Dr office for a revision! And six mths after the 1st failed procedure had the revision from another dr at the office. It is now amazing! Stay positive and fight for yourself! You deserve great results! It’s your body! Also, see if they have a procedure to take care of the extra skin. Make sure you use good compression garments-2 or 3, 23/7 (wash your garments during showers) and get Lymphatic massages 2x per week for the first 3 mths. Best wishes. :)

Two days ago I had my upper/lower abs, bra roll, waist and lower back done by Dr. Boutte. I can already tell I'm going love my new look because I can see the formation of my waist and flatter stomach. I'm top heavy so even when I try to lose weight I would have the stomach and love handles. I'm experiencing a lot of pain and soreness. It's hurts to lay down, sit down and walk. How long does it take for the pain to subside? I am going on a cruise 3 wks from today for my 50th birthday. Will I be back to normal by then?

Thanks for starting a review, we'd love to see some progress pics and hear more about your recovery.  As far as feeling better, I think you should ask in our Doctor Q&A.

Odds are you wont be back to normal and will still have a lot of swelling and pain. I went on a beach trip lass week and it was exactly 3 weeks from my smart lipo. I am still lumpy, swollen and bruised. I just ignored it, put on my bikini and had a good time!
I have a trip planned in a few weeks as well. I just had mine done on 8/10. Plus side is no more pain meds and antibiotics so I look forward to a cocktail or two. Hopefully I won't bruise anymore and can wear my clothes better but I know not to expect my max results yet either. I am just tired of sitting around recovering! Lol!
It depends on how extensive the work is I got mine done the last week of June and most of the pain has gone away except I also got my other one third hip done and they had to do a lot of life in the area and it still hurts sometimes even to this day
No, you will be functional....you should be mobile without any pain...but you will still be in your garment and numbness in most areas....please don't stop wearing your garment on vacation it's important part of the healing....have you started your lymphatic massages..if not I recommend you do
