Mommy Makeover in Dominican Republic with Dr Goico

I am 38 years old, 5’2, 103 lbs, a mother of one ( she will turn 19 this October) got married at 18.. was forever thin until I became pregnant. Was so thin that I have enormous stretchmarks on my tummy and breasts as an aftermath. I am booked for surgery with Dr Goico on Sept 13. BA, TT with MR, and lipo of arms, armpit, waist, abdomen, flanks and upper and lower back. Initially, I have minimal lipo with BBL but I decided to remove the BBL and add more lipo to other body parts instead. I figured I can still work on my butt but the fats that can be removed by lipo I cant do anything about it through work out.
I have thought that stretchmarks can be cured by cream until I went to a Doctor in year 2000 and for the first time I heard about tummy tuck. It was way back when I was younger and cant afford the procedure. But it has always been a thought in my mind. I was scared at the pain cause I have a very low pain tolerance. But I have been always conscious about my stretchmarks and muffin top that I decided its time for me to go with this and face my fear of pain.
I am currently living in Saudi Arabia but we are originally from Philippines. I did get a quote from Philippines but it was so expensive and I don’t see any review or photos of patients who have undergone mommy makeover, so I proceeded and looked at Thailand and Poland for next option. My husband helped me on researching and he is the one who recommended me to go to realself..and oh how thankful I am cause here I can find real experiences with photos of result as well. I searched for surgery groups in facebook as well and I followed a lady who went to Dr Goico. So when I see her scar, I immediately know that I will go with him. And the price is way cheaper.. The only thing is it is far from me. But I prioritize the result so its ok for me to travel. Even if I include the cost of travel and recovery house, it is still cheaper than that of in Philippines and Thailand.
I messaged Karel, his assistant here in realself and I also messaged Dr Goico through whatsapp. My message is detailed and with pictures. I was very happy and surprised that both of them replied to me the next day. So we discussed everything and I paid the deposit right away after receiving a quote from Karel.
I also booked my flight and my recovery home at Arelis. I was able to call the owner but a bit hard over the phone and I want to make sure I am booked as she is not accepting reservation money. I messaged Mrs Arelis for confirmation and shes not replying so I asked Karel if she could help me with Mrs Arelis, and soon after that the recovery house replied and told me I am booked. Karel is very helpful.
Now it is 2 weeks away my SX… my hemo is currently at 13.5 hopefully it wont change or increase.. I will keep you all posted on my journey as a way of giving back to realself as this has helped me a lot with what I will be going through. Thank you all for sharing your mommy makeover. 8 days before SX.. My hemo

My hemo is 14.5 thank god

I am always at 13.6 and i am not sure if i need to take on iron supplement. I did my research and most say i dont need it and others even mention damaging liver

I asked dr g and he said no one is too healthy for surgery. So 6 wks prior sx i started taking daily 5mg folic acid, vit c and iron supplement. The rwcommended iron is 350mg twice a day. But i can only purchase 100mg in my place. And the indications on the box said to take max of 2 a day so thats what i did. Dont want to risk being overdosed.

I also ate chicken liver which i hate.. Red meat and lots of fruits and veggies. Hopefully it will still remain. I am on my period now and i know it will decrease it a bit. And they say plane ride decreases it too.not sure. But for now i am ver happy..

Today is my 10th day.. I thank the lord for the doctor and strength He has given me to go through surgery. Theres no pain at all..just soreness (this is what i was told by my friend Juli in the recovery house, which i thought was just to lessen my fear..but thank God she is right). And the only sore part is my back for hunching over and sleeping position.

My front and boobies drains were taken out on day 6 post op. They said boobs is usually removed in 24 hrs but mine took longer. Today i think and hope that my back drains will be removed. Last check was 120ml but since last night it has not drain a lot. Like tubes r not even full anymore.

This will be our last day in the recovery house and we will surely miss Sra Arelis, Ilka, Tiya Ada and Antonia and her food. They have become like a family to us.we will spend the next days left in a hotel as a reward for my husband who comes with me and takes care of me as well. Cant imagine doing this without him beside me

For our friend Juli (i know i might be spelling this wrong maybe with an e? :) ) i hope you will read this. we missed you a lot here esp on the first day that u were gone. Its nice to have found and met a very positive person. You made me go through this easier. I hope all ladies will found sx buddies like u.
