I'm always extremely nervous about doing anything...

I'm always extremely nervous about doing anything to my face. In the past, I've had both good and bad experiences. That being said, the doctor performing your procedure is key. Be sure to do extensive research on your doctor of choice. Look into their credentials, board certifications, photos, request references and read reviews. I did just that before choosing Dr. Berkowitz.

After discussing in detail my areas of concern with Doctor, his recommendation was to start with 2 syringes of voluma. I decided on half of his recommended dose, since I can add more later if unsatisified.

A week later, the result is very natural, undetectable to everyone except me. Thus, 2 syringes would have been ideal, as he suggested. However, I'm very pleased with the outcome! He is a fantastic Doctor. Very gentle and studied my face well before injecting. I had no bruising, which is remarkable since I'm prone to bruising easily. In addition, I had 20 units of Botox injected into forehead areas. That hasn't taken full effect just yet (10 day waiting period for full outcome), however so far so good. I've visited enough surgeons to know good from better, and this doctor was one of my favorites I've seen in this area. His staff was also very friendly and helpful. Prices are lower than most, a bonus, since price should be a minor concern when it comes to your face! Wait time was a bit longer than usual, but good things come to those who wait.

Moving forward, I will be returning soon for further procedures. I'll update you with reviews when that occurs.

That's great, thank you for sharing! Can you post some pics too? Love to see your results!

What areas did you receive injections - cheek bones, jawline, etc.?

April 4, 2016
Hi! I received voluma in my cheeks. It was placed in the upper cheek area near corners of eyes and in the middle where I had some volume loss. The voluma is placed deep in the skin on top of the bone so you don't see any lumping or such, but you can feel it if you're looking for it. Again, very natural results that most people wouldn't recognize as "work".

Thank you for sharing. Did you have issues with your jowls? If so, did the Voluma help lift it and help to make the jawline more defined?
April 6, 2016
Hi! No issue with my jowls. Mostly my smile lines. The voluma definitely helps with that. Not sure how old you are, but look into a Y-lift or skin tightening lasers if you're looking for an improved jawline. Update me.

Hi! I'm from Michigan and looking into botox/filler. I'm gonna be 38 soon and want a little pick me up. People keep telling me not to touch my face but I feel if I find the right dr I will be happy with a little filler in my lips /laugh lines and botox in my 11's. How old are u? What age did u start botox/fillers?

Hi! Your hesitation is valid. Sometimes we try to fix things that weren't bad to begin with. Just know that the outcomes are not always favorable. Not trying to scare you, but if something doesn't bother you enough you should L eave it alone!

I like Botox, but too much is not good. I'm 33 years old and have been doing botox consistently for two years every four months. Through trial and error, I've found that adding small amounts works much better. I only do 20 units total regardless of what anyone recommends because I like having some movement in my forehead! I favor a natural look that isn't super tight and superficial.

I also really like having a little Botox done to the crows feet. I do 10 units in each eye And that works fantastic. Honestly, I would recommend Botox as it really works well and is safe, assuming you don't do too much. Regardless, it's never permanent and you'll be back to yourself in 3 months time.

Last year I had juvederm done to my smile lines by a different plastic surgeon. The area was improved however, the surgeon didn't place the filler properly. I believe Dr. Berkowitz would have done a better job. He does an excellent job with filler, so eventually I'll have him redo mine after the prior injection disolves. You mentioned your lips... His receptionist had her lips done by him and I thought she looked great. I'm very critical, picky and I'm not paid to promote anyone, but I enjoy sharing my findings with those in need of guidance. I hope my opinions and experiences help. I'll post some pics so you can see. I'd like to hear what you think!

Excuse me, I meant 10 units of Botox for each eye to target crows feet (not in each eye).

Hey your pics look great! Have u been back to see him lately? I finally booked an appt for this week! Super excited and scared! Does he give his opinion of what u need?
April 6, 2016
yes pics please !!!! I'm thinking of doing voluma as well.

Make sure you pick a very skilled board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist who not only meets high academic achievements , but also has an artistic eye. Look at many before and afters. Best of luck! I posted a pic. Tell me what you think. Thanks for your comment.

The result looks very nice on you. I'll be doing Voluma in June or July before I leave for vacation. Does the Voluma help lift the jawline?
April 9, 2016
Thank you! Do it at least 2 weeks before you go. It could cause swelling or bruising and that should be enough time for it to settle. I think there's better methods for tightening the jawline, but it definitely gives you a fuller more youthful look. I'm Lebanese btw... Neighbors :)

You're Lebanese? Cool : ) the Lebanese make the best humous but that's another story! What other methods do you suggest for the jawline? My jawline is good but I want to tighten it a little more.

Botox update

The Botox in my forehead has reached its climax point. It looks great, however my brows lifted slightly, which is common, so I will be returning to see Dr. B tomorrow to correct that.

oh my goodness i wish my brows lifted a tad....... i feel like my drop a little when i get botox. how does he fix that?
April 6, 2016
I'm not a doctor but I don't think you can correct dropping. Have you asked your injector?
April 7, 2016
No I meant how is he going to fix yours, I didn't think u could.
April 7, 2016
Went to see the Dr. He said i have a nice lifted brow and didn't suggest changing that. If I wanted he could add 1 unit of Botox to each brow to bring it down a bit, but that could look droopy so I decided not to.
April 8, 2016
Ya a nice lift would be good. Mine aren't drooping by any means I just feel like they get lowered a tad. She explained she will do it a bit different next time. Thnks.

First time with Botox 4 years ago the results were obvious that same day. The next morning my eyebrows had lifted significantly. FAST REACTION!!! Now, several
Years later, the results are slow and not impressive whatsoever. I'm working on skin restoration treatments rather than Botox since I know I've become immune . Nobody ever talks about that
