My Facelift Was Worth It! - Sterling Heights, MI

My reasons for choosing Dr. Seiger: value, trust, safety, and recommendation from a friend. After working through my feelings associated with getting a face-lift, I decided to check things out in February, 2014. The first place I went to was a big operation, but I left there feeling like all they cared about was money. I told them that my daughter was getting married in October, and I planned to lose quite a bit of weight. They told me it didn’t matter, and I could get the face-lift right away. This made no sense to me. I was also concerned because I saw women in the lobby with their faces looking red as a lobster’s. I was told they had some laser treatment. The person who talked to me wasn’t a doctor, and suggested a lift and laser treatment for $8800. No way was I going to trust them with my face.
The second place I went to check out was a swanky plastic surgeon’s office. I met with the doctor and he seemed nice and competent. He suggested a lift for my lower face and neck, and also the eyes if I chose to do so. He explained the surgery would include an overnight stay in the hospital. Being cautious, I didn’t want the added risk of being put under. After talking with the doctor, I met with a woman to discuss costs. The price for the lower face-lift and neck would be over $13,000. If I decided to add the eyes, it would be over $16,000. It was unsettling to me I wasn’t offered before and after pictures of women who had these procedures. I was told it’s difficult to get women who are willing to give their photos, but they did show me a book after I asked. The pictures were no more impressive than the ones I saw at the first place, and the cost was so much more. I’m a retired school counselor and don’t have that kind of money. This place was definitely not an option for me.
I always try to get 3 estimates for anything I do. I told my girlfriend I was checking places out and she reminded me that she had a face-lift about 6 years ago with Dr. Seiger. She was very pleased with the results. She had her lower face done and fat transfer for some area for $3100! I didn’t know her six years ago, but thought she looked good now. She sent me his contact information and I called scheduled a free consultation on June 2nd.
I had an immediate liking for Dr. Seiger. I realized he wasn’t just doing what he did for the money. My neck was terrible, but when I asked what he thought I should have done, he told me the lower face would be $2900. He said I could opt for the additional procedure for my neck for $1000, but I didn’t have to. He thought he could make me look good without it. Knowing how bad my neck looked, I told him, “I only want to do this once, and I’d rather pay the extra $1000.” He explained why this may be best. Since I lost about 50 pounds in the last year, he suggested using 4 cc of Juvaderm. He said he would include Botox at no charge. He showed me a book he made with ‘before and after’ pictures of patients. I was astounded and thought the results were just short of miraculous. They told me Dr. Seiger has done over 2500 face-lifts. I scheduled the surgery and they did blood work. After attending a conference on all the procedures, I called his office and asked if I could have fat transfer instead of Juvaderm. I was told it was no problem and would be only $400.00 more. He ended up doing the lift of face and neck, fat transfer, some Juvaderm, and Botox for $5310! I’m very pleased with the results.
