Extra details

Not-so-great details:
-My skin started flaking
-My nose was also starting to flake and peel and still is
-Nose broke out after cast removal and blackheads increased
-Nose always feels full of grime inside. I clean it as much as I can with a q-tip but it never feels enough. I tried pulling out dried blood/buildup with tweezers but didn't get very far and I ended up tugging on a dissolvable suture on the inside which didn't feel to great
-Cast removal process was a pain.. I took a narco before going because I had heard it would be painful and I'm glad I did. Cutting off the stitches and removal of the splints was a b*tch. Possibly the post painful part of the whole process because like I said, I wasn't in pain during recovery, just uncomfortable.

Things that helped:
-Travel pillow for the neck!! Helped me sleep in peace not worrying if I was going to turn in my sleep and bump my nose on anything
-Coconut water for hydration and water around the clock
-For those who actually see the effect of using supplements, I'm sure the bromelian and arnica would help out... I'm just one of those people who nothing really works on.
-I'm sure there's more I just can't remember

My overall experience was great I just didn't feel to good about not getting a call back for days, I felt that was insensitive especially since it was right before my surgery. But, otherwise Dr. Most and his team were amazing.

Feel free to message me should you have any questions about any part of the process. I will try to post more photos as time passes to show how my nose is healing.

Looking great so far! Sorry about your experience right before surgery....that must have been so unsettling. Not surprised, though. It's a busy office and they seem to not have adequate staff.
Best of luck to you!
Thank you! Yeah it was definitely unsettling.. I normally had no issues reaching them so this almost felt intentional although I'm sure their schedules were just backed up. Although a call only takes 5 minutes and I even told the receptionist he can just email me if he doesn't have the time to call but she assured me he would call at the end of the day on thursday but the call never came the rest of that week.
Your nose really does look great, so hopefully all the frustration you experienced will be worth it!
Thank you so much! I'm really happy so far

Day of surgery + recovery

The day of the surgery went about slowly, my procedure was in the afternoon so I was keeping myself busy until 1:30 when I had to be there. Mia, the nurse, went over the post op checklist with me again as well as how to properly clean my nose afterwards. Then, the anesthesiologist, the Dr. who was doing his fellowship with Dr. Most (I forgot his name), and Dr. Most individually came in the room to greet me and go over any last minute questions I may have then I was wheeled off to the operating room.
When I woke up I felt just fine, just a little hazy from the anesthesia but otherwise I was helping the nurse and my mother as they were dressing me and then I was on my way home.
Recovery:
Recovery was.... annoying. I wasn't in any pain but I was just uncomfortable I guess. I would try to sleep mostly but I would constantly wake up from dry mouth and it was terrible. My eyes were leaking tears like crazy the first 48 hours or so, not only were my eyes puffy and bruised but they felt even more huge because they were constantly wet... Idk if that makes a sense. My nose was draining a good amount during those first few days too so I was constantly changing the drip pad because I hated the feeling of dampness. I also didn't have much appetite but I would have acai bowls and it kept me satisfied for most of the day. I tried to include lots of pineapple to help with the bruising but my mouth would feel raw after. I don't think the bromelian or arnica products helped me much unfortunately because I know they worked wonders on others but my body didn't respond to them as I would've hoped because I was bruised and swollen much of that first week but otherwise.

It's day 13 now and I have very, very slight bruising still left under my eyes but I just dab a bit of concealer on it. My nose is still pretty swollen and I'm worried about my bridge, it looks crooked in some photos and I have lots of swelling above my tip on the sides. I'm excited to see the shape as the swelling goes down further in the coming months so I'm just trying to be patient and not think much of the imperfections I see. Overall I am very happy with my new nose and I think it looks very natural while still giving me a desired shape. Those who are in my life that knew I was doing this think it looks great and those who I haven't told have not even guessed I had anything done! I was nervous that people would pick it up instantly but luckily I have only gotten a "your skin is looking great"!

It's looks so cute in the profile! I see what's concerning you about the bridge looking straight on. What did Dr. Most say about that? It's probably just swelling. I can't wait to see how it's looking in another couple months.
Thanks, I love the profile too! He didn't say anything the day we took off the cast and I started noticing it after, we haven't spoken since then and I'm not sure if this is just normal or not so I haven't reached out.
Hi! I have surgery scheduled with him too. I was wondering, did you do any grafting?
How exciting! Yes he did, we hadn't discussed it but he mentioned during my post op that my cartilage was very weak so he had to use some grafts to help support my tip.
