Had surgery in October with Dr Charles Nathan. I couldn't be happier with the results. Had lost 40# and been working out with a trainer for a year. Belly would not go away due to age and weight.(53). It took months and 4 Surgeons to make my decision. I was an OR nurse for years and had seen many of these surgeries but never really saw anyone except immediately post op.I had 2 surgeons say exactly the same thing. Dr Nathan was the first Doc I talked to. I liked him immediately but wanted to research this further. I ended up with a Tummy tuck, Lipo, and a breast lift. No implants. I am very happy with the results and so glad I listened to my surgeon. Nothing has the shape of implants but there is always the potential for trouble down the road. I would have looked ridiculous as I look much smaller now and the Implants would have made me look heavier and "matronly". The procedures were not as painful as I thought they would be. I slept in bed propped up with 6 or 7 pillows. Both drains were out in 10 days and I returned to work then.
Lacey in Dr Nathan's office was very helpful as well. The whole experience was a very positive one. My husband was supportive from the beginning. If you have thought about something like this don't be afraid to pursue it. Do your homework but be prepared to spend some time on this. You will be glad you did.
