7 weeks post op

I am very pleased with my overall results. I still have redness from the laser resurfacing, but the doctor said it would be red for a few months. I'm not worried about it. Makeup covers it well. My biggest concern were the bags, wrinkles, and tear trough indentations. Those have all been corrected, so I am a happy camper. I have wrinkles to the side of my eyes slightly, but those weren't expected to be corrected with this type of surgery. The one thing I notice that I was hoping would be better is the swollen skin under my left eye. As you can see in the pictures the fat repositioning has left that eye not quite as 'open' as the other. I'm giving it more time before I worry too much. I will see the doctor in about three more weeks. It might 'settle' more by then. Considering a little botox between the brows when I go back too! :)

Day 14

Wanted to share pictures 14 days post-op. One is with makeup and one is without. I really like what I'm seeing so far. I did notice that my left eye is still slightly swollen as you can see in the picture. The doctor's office said not to worry, it will continue to go down. I've also included a picture comparison of before surgery and after surgery. I know the lighting is always different, but I took them both in my bathroom so it could be as close as possible.

Progressing very well!

So this has been a fairly easy recovery. My main complaint is that I have needed a nap these last few days. Basically, I slept in the recliner the first 4 nights. The last 2 nights I have slept propped up so I won't roll over. I'm a stomach sleeper, so this isn't ideal.

I am so impressed that I haven't really seen any swelling. This is way different from my surgery 2 years ago. I've followed the same post-op directions too. Yes, I have redness, but it doesn't bother me too much. As soon as the peel is complete (another day or 2) I can cover the pinkness with makeup. Last time I had swelling and lumps. That is not easy to cover with make up.

I had my follow up with the doctor today. Everything is going well. He said I will see 80% overall improvement with wrinkles and bags. Right now I see a lot more than that, but as we all know things take time. I'm adding a 'before' picture that they took prior to my surgery. I am SO glad I decided to go see Dr. Nayak and have him do the surgery. I will keep updating.
