Haven't checked in awhile but have been lurking about. In my last update I talked about having needing a revision and on Dec. 9th that's exactly what happened. Just shy of the 3 month post op recovery point a new surgeon went in and redid the whole thing....and let me just add ...ouch!! The intent was just to do some fairly minor adjustments but when Dr. Curtis got into it he said he realized that it was just not going to be enough. Now i am pretty laid up now just shy of Christmas. Thank god i got a lot of stuff done ahead of time. Anyway here is a pic one day post op. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying all the cute clothes and bras you can now wear. Merry Christmas!

It's been awhile since I updated where I'm at in this journey..and it is a journey. Saw the ps today and ina nutshelli will be having revision work done in December.....sigh. I am not thrilled with this news but I am happy with the way the ps is working to get me to a good result. Basically my skin is not going to be able to make up for all of the tissue they removed with lipo suction and my nipple placement should be higher. So the beast tissue that is hanging down my ribs is just going to get worse add the swelling subsides more. So there you have it. How this finds everyone well....xxoo

Hi-I'm 8 weeks post-op and was 160lbs 5'3". I'm down to 150 now, and also still wearing bandages and changing dressing 3X a day. I can't wear a real bra yet. I knew in advance that I bruise and scar easily and boy I have had both. The incision is still fresh because I got a hematoma on my left breast that required more tissue to be removed and more blood withdrawn. I was prepared for anything so I'm just going day by day. My husband couldn't get time off from work and is in another state, so I've had to do this alone. My son drove me the first week before he started back to college, but I boarded my 4 dogs for 2 weeks so that helped tremendously. I was so black and blue but very slowly it has faded, I had a drain put in at 4 weeks but that's all fine now. I am just so unbelievably happy now, I'll take whatever comes my way. I still can't sleep on my sides completely yet but I look at myself in the mirror and just have this grin from ear to ear. I can see my toes! Recovery is different for everyone, for me it's taking me longer to feel better, but I'm retired and I have the time to rest. I went from a 44DD to a small C. I love looking at bras online, my confidence has changed 180 degrees and I no longer slouch my shoulders when I walk.

Wow.....you did it by yourself. ...you're a trooper. They did a lot of lipo on me and man that is painful! I am 4 weeks post op and just starting to lay on my sides. I'm glad you are so happy with your results! I think everything will turn out fine with mine but another surgeon is going to do the revisions. I am definately happier than i was at a 34 gg. Take care!

I'm sorry about your needing a revision :( Did they tell you if it'll be under local or general anethesia? Are they taking out any more or just fixing skin issues? Also, are they fully reopening all your old incisions? I am probably also going to have a revision and am so depressed about the whole thing right now.

Hi....My biggest problem is the ps not taking my age into account enough. I am almost 56 years old and he did a lot of liposuction with the expectation that my skin was going to shrink up and make up for all of the tissue he removed. Well......that's not going to happen and if I want some air under these puppies they are going to have to go in and remove excess skin underneath so the incision would be horizontal and underneath the breast which he did not do the first time. If I want a higher nipple placement they would have to do the same....make a crescent shaped incision and move everything up. They are saying local because they don't think insurance will pay for the O.R. I am wondering why I have to go through a nerve wracking scenario when they didn't get it right the first time.

Oh wow, sounds like they are doing major skin readjustment and that they won't actually be making you any smaller. I agree, it isn't fair that we have to go through the pain a second time, but in the long haul, I think we'll be able to say it was worth it.

I know......I can't do the lipo again and under local anesthetic...they are still pretty big if you ask me but they will probably get smaller still with less swelling. I can already say that I am much happier already but it was a lot to go through and not get exactly what you wanted.

Well....I'm feeling a little better about my progress today. I still have a lot of healing to do and the surgeon says I probably have some revision work in my future. They are better than they were though so even now it was still worth it to me. Hope this finds everyone healing well or excitedly waiting for upcoming surgeries....xxoo
