Hey everyone. So, I went to my consultation today. I went in knowing that I would need a lift but was expecting to get the lift and implants done in all one surgery. Well, of course, just my luck he didn't think that would be the best course of action for the results that I want. I'm kind of down about not getting the implants for another 6 months (and having to spend another $6000), but I feel confident with my PS and feel that he is giving me the best advice possible. So, next Thursday I am having the procedure done and will begin the waiting game to get my implants!

Sorry, to hear that you have to have two separate surgeries. I also have droopy breast and no children. My surgery is on Monday August 3; I'm having lift with implant. I want my breast fuller, not larger.

That's exactly what I want as well! I understand the reasoning behind doing the staging, I just want them done now! Lol good luck Monday!

What did they look like before the operation?

I will have to ask my PS for before pictures. I got so busy the night before I forgot to take any.

Did the doctor explain why it had to be two separate surgeries? I had an anchor lift and implants to increase size and projection done at the same time and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Yes, and it makes total sense to me. Basically a lift tightens your skin while implants stretch your skin. And there is a higher chance of needing a revision or tissues dying due to all of the stress on it at once. I have read quite a few horror stories of girls getting both done at the same time and needing one or two more surgeries to get their desired results. I really trust my surgeon so I went with his advice. Plus it's not costing me anymore to do two separate surgeries than it would had he done both at once.

Your doc gave you best advice ever...so many girls on here do it all in one...there sutures end up ripping apart..there's on one here that the scaring is so bad she is suing the doc..Google search the procedure going wrong..and you'll see for yourself

That's what I did after he suggested the staged procedure which is why I'm glad that I followed his advice and didn't go with a surgeon that would be fine with doing it all at once. My fiance always says, "Get it done right the first time, even if it costs more."

Surgery is all done!

I know I sucked and forgot to take pre op pics! My boyfriend and I decided to go camping Monday thru Wednesday to get some kayaking and fishing time in before surgery and by the time we got home I did some cleaning and went to sleep. So, today I had to be at the office by 7:30 am. I live about 45 mins away so we left early to account for rush hour traffic. Of course, I couldn't eat anything after midnight and if I don't eat breakfast and then get in the car, I get very nauseous. Well, I drove and about 200 ft away from the office I got so nauseated and roll my window down, so I'm puking while driving through the parking lot (while my boyfriend was laughing, yea good time!). After that, I felt so much better. I went inside and signed a few forms then was taken back to get all set up in a gown and my IV going. Anytime I have ever had an IV or blood drawn, they use my left arm. Since that arm is always used she had to go through scar tissue but got a good vein. Brooke (nurse) was awesome! I have had some nurses dig in my arm to find a vein for an IV but I barely knew she was sticking me. After getting that set up my boyfriend came back and sat with me until Dr. Rottler was ready to mark me up and get me going. He did his markings, put me back in my poofy gown (has the little air vent to keep you warm, I need one of those at home!), and then the anesthesiologist came in and got me started. I told him that I was going to beat him to the door (as in I would stay awake until we got through the door) he just laughed and said we will see, yea, he won haha. Next thing I know, I'm waking up back in my room and not sore or anything. I had a headache, but I went in with one so they gave me some narco to help with that. The nurse gave me some animal crackers and water and called my boyfriend to come pick me up. Dr. Rottler came in and told me all went great and he only had to do a lollipop lift, he had initially expected to have to do an anchor lift and didn't think I would want implants after having the lift, but then realized during surgery that I didn't have as much tissue as he had initially thought and told me I will for sure want the implants to get my desired look. After my boyfriend got there, the nurse explained everything to him and helped me get dressed. They gave me a bouquet of beautiful flowers and wheeled me out to the car. I've been home for about an hour now, no real pain just tight feeling (I have a high pain tolerance though). I also wake up very smoothly from anesthesia and normally wake up telling jokes (I'm weird). I am so happy with my choice of surgeon and his staff are wonderful. He has his own surgery clinic next door to his office, so the nurses you see during your consultation and follow ups are the nurses that you have with your during surgery. It definitely helps walking in to see a familiar face! Now, I am just sitting here watching a movie with my puppies (real dogs not my boobs)! Tomorrow morning I have my post op appointment and will post some pictures!

So here are some pics from day one. They look scary! I wish I could have taken a pic of my boyfriends face when he saw them the first time.

These are for sure the scariest post op pics for a lift I've seen yet. So happy to see they smoothed out. I got this in an email and was freak out of for you! I've had the procedure myself and it just never looked like that. Anyways phew glad they're better

They were really swollen and bruised the first couple days now they're looking so much better. I'll have to take a pic tomorrow (2 weeks post).

They sure are. I told my bf he will not be able to look at them!

My surgeon didn't put steri strips or tapes or anything on my incisions...he only used some gauze so when I went the day after for my post op I was able to actually see how they looked straight on rather behind tapes and stuff.
