57-year Old Female: Facelift, Eyelid Surgery, Laser Reserfacing - Saint Louis, MO

I am a 57-year-old professional female who had a facial rejuvenation procedure with Dr. Ridenour about two and a half months ago. My procedure included a brow, face, and neck lift, upper blepharoplasty, fat transfer and laser resurfacing.
I have been considering a procedure for the last 10 years and especially since my 50th birthday. I noticed at that time that I was going through some big changes with my body and I also experienced some unexpected health issues. I started investigating and looking into a facelift procedure.
My husband actually heard an ad for Dr. Ridenour on the radio and suggested that he seemed like a great surgeon for me to visit for a consultation. Honestly, that visit really clinched it for me. I felt comfortable and it didn’t seem as complicated as I had envisioned it. Everyone at the practice I encountered was real and not fake. I truly felt like I was going to have help through my experience. My impression of the staff was that they are all beautiful, but real. It is a feeling of solid, good women and it made me feel comfortable. They were very complimentary to Dr. Ridenour.
Dr. Ridenour was very informative. He was so helpful in guiding my treatment. He said, “this is what I think, what do you think?”. I felt like I was in good hands. He is funny, light-hearted and has a good sense of humor. Also, he is very professional. I called on a holiday weekend with a question after my procedure and he said, “Meet me at the office. Let’s take a look at it. Not a problem.” He was quick to respond to my concern and very reassuring.
I had great aftercare and everyone was able to guide me through the process of healing. Honestly, there were a couple of things I assumed I could start doing in my routine but that was addressed and corrected right away. I was seen frequently enough so that they could break down the process for me. I didn’t have a lot of surprises as far as the “what-to-expect”. However, I did have a “wow” moment with the swelling, but someone on the staff looked right at me and said, “You are going to look fabulous”. That comment talked me back to a good place. It reminded me of the light at the end of the tunnel. I was well prepared for what it was going to be like after surgery. It was hard to go out the first couple of weeks but then again, I expected that.
I am so satisfied with my results. They are better than I expected. I knew I was going to look better but did not anticipate it being this great. I have nothing negative to say. My experience was great. I just feel so good! I feel fresh and happy. I am even doing new things with my hair and losing weight. I am in a good place and want to keep improving.
I will continue to be a patient of Dr. Ridenour’s. I have already started additional treatments for lashes and brows and now my husband wants to seek out a surgical treatment this winter with Dr. Ridenour.
