Your after pic is great! Your lateral upper eye is much more open and the lateral brow is higher. I know neither of these two things are affected by a face lift. Did you have eye or brow work as well?
Yes, Dr. Ridenour did an upper and lower blepharoplasty and fat transfer under eye area.
Your Review was quite lengthy, covering so very much. Did I miss that or did you not mention it. Your photo is really lovely but it is good to know what went into creating that result.
I will look over my review. I’ll be surprised if I didn’t mention my eyes or brows. Having those done really made such a huge improvement in my overall outcome. Thank you for comments.

I had a facelift with Dr. Ridenour a month ago ....
I had a facelift with Dr. Ridenour a month ago . It's so hard for me to describe how much better I feel about myself. I look like me but a much more refreshed version of myself, My results are better then I ever imagined. To be honest, when I look at myself now, I see what I always saw. I've always have been young at heart and it was hard for me to see my aging face. I wasn't trying to look 20 again but I definitely wanted my outward appearance to match the way I felt inside. I live a healthy lifestyle and take care of myself but my face was showing age way faster then the rest of me. My children and husband were very supportive. I felt guilty about wanting surgery to improve my appearance and felt selfish taking this step. I kept thinking about expense, the time it would take to recover and a zillion other reasons why having surgery wouldn't be a good idea. Well, I was so wrong!! The surgery has not only improved my outward appearance but it's given me more confidence in so many areas of my life. Also, the surgery has had a positive impact on my children and husband because they see how much better I feel and how my confidence has grown since having surgery. For all of you that are on the fence I'm giving you a nudge. It will be one of the best decision you'll ever make. After seeing Dr.Ridenour like me, you'll be standing tall and no longer embarrassed for people to see you in bright light. I thoroughly investigated everything concerning what I needed to do to find the best facial plastic surgeon. It's my face and I wasn't willing to make any changes unless I understood what I was getting into. I wanted make sure I found the best facial plastic surgeon to do the job. I was already a patient of Dr. Ridenour’s but I did see other facial plastic surgeons in the Midwest area and went out of state for other consultations including California before making my final decision. Choosing a surgeon is such a personal decision and it had to be the right fit. Honestly cost was about the same everywhere when it all shook out. I only ran into one Dr. who's prices were ridiculously higher then the others offering the same service. I couldn't justify his price gouging and it kinda sent up a red flag so I removed him from my list of potential surgeons. After much research I found that Dr. Ridenour was the best facial plastic surgeon to help me achieve my goals. He has a great reputation and was is highly recommended. He was highly recommended by one of the doctors from California which was so nice to hear especially since I live in St. Louis. I thought about having a facelift on and off for the last 7 years. It's been expensive to keep doing fillers and it got to the point where my underlying structure wasn’t supporting filler. It was time but I was very nervous.
Dr. Ridenour’s office cared enough to follow up with me during my decision process. They are not salesy. They actually care and reached out to encourage me that I could do it.
Dr. Ridenour was always honest and truthful with me and truly wanted the best for me. Some doctors aren’t truthful and say the most outlandish things. Dr. Ridenour never told me what I wanted to hear, he just told me the truth. Sometimes that's hard to listen to but he never tried to sell me. He really listened to to my thoughts and concerns and did his best to achieve the look that I was hoping for.
His office staff is like big family. Its hard to explain how outstanding their pre and post surgery care is. They've always been available to answer questions and make time to see me if I have any questions or concerns. Dr. Ridenour cares so much and I always felt that he wanted the best for me. I feel very blessed to have him as my surgeon. Surgery is a big step and I only wanted someone that I trusted with all my heart !! Facial plastic surgery is such a huge deal because - it's your face ! important not to forget for see a facial plastic surgeon. Dr. Ridenour met all my criteria and his credentials went above and beyond that. You are going to have questions and you need a practice/surgeon that is accessible. Dr. Ridenour and his staff were really honest with me about downtime and what to expect after surgery. It's a big deal and there's so much to facial surgery . I told them I was a bruiser and a sweller and based on that I was given a very realistic picture of what I would be going through. I appreciate that I wasn’t just told, “it’s going to be 2 weeks”.
Most people gravitate toward the coasts for cosmetic surgery but I feel so blessed that Dr. Ridenour is in St. Louis . He's not flashy and doesn't self promote. Over the years I have met people that have seen Dr. Ridenour. I was always amazed with the outstanding results these people had , now I can include myself in that group. I'm so happy!! I'm glad I waited to do this because I consulted with many facial plastic surgeons and was ready to travel for surgery but after all this research I was exciting to find out the best facial surgeon isDr.Ridenour . There's was no need to go anywhere else because we have the best right here.

would love some pics! thanks for the positive message
I will post pics soon
May I ask the cost..? Unfortunately, it is a consideration for me...
Thank you
And yes...wonderful, positive comment!
Sure, I can private message you with cost if you'd like.
what a nice positive perspective. it is hard not to feel a tiny bit guilty about the vanity especially if folks suggest u should just age gracefully! so glad u have a good surgeon supportive family and a happy outcome. tx for posting.
I totally agree with you. Being able to reach out to others on Real Self helped me with this process I contacted another Real Self never with with my concerns and she shared her surgery experience. Looking back she said that she wouldn't have discussed her surgery plans with anyone else other then the caregiver she had asked to care for her during her recovery process. She said that it's no one business but your own. That sealed the deal for me. My husband and daughter were the only ones that knew what I was doing. I didn't even share with my college age sons because they weren't home during my surgery and really didn't see why I needed to say to them yet. I have to say doing this without people adding their two cents was s huge relief. It was about 3 weeks before I felt comfortable leaving the house and it was wonderful not having to explain anything that I didn't want to. People I hadn't seen commented how great I looked and weren't exactly sure what was different. I loved that,
fabulous news. i have my surgery at age nearly 71 this monday. today the anxiety, guilt and odd feelings mix with the excitement and anticipation. i will read this over several times today as a comforting message. big thanks. i told too many!!! best to u barbydoll
So excited for you!!
You can see before and afters on Dr. Ridenour website.
Hello, you look beautiful. I plan to see Dr. R for a consult. Can I ask how old you were at time of surgery? Also, exactly what did you have done?
