29 Y/o A to C Cup Breast Augmentation (Periareolar Incision, Silicone Implant) - Saint Louis, MO

Choosing Dr. Charles Nathan as my surgeon for a breast augmentation was an incredibly easy decision to make after meeting with three doctors for consultations. The office of St. Louis Cosmetic Surgery is stylish and well kept, the office staff friendly and polished, and the nursing staff was enthusiastic in their discussion with me about this exciting change I had planned for myself. During my consult with Dr. Nathan he gave me the usual spiel about breast augmentation types, locations, implant varieties, etc., that he must have given thousands of times but he still remained charismatic, open to questions, and invested in creating a plan tailored to my personal needs. I was highly interested in a periareolar (through the nipple) incision to minimize scarring, which was not Dr. Nathan’s preferred approach. He described to me the pros and cons of periareolar versus submammary incisions but never tried to sway my decision by putting his weight behind one method versus the other. At the end of the consult I knew what size and implant type I wanted but went home to do my research on incision locations.

In the end I decided on going through the nipple which Dr. Nathan executed magically. The surgery center staff was friendly, chatty, and very professional and supported me both pre- and post-surgery. Post-surgery pain was annoying and/or uncomfortable but never unmanageable, especially if the pain meds and muscle relaxers were taken consistently for the first three days. I quit taking all meds on the third day and was back to work 4 days after surgery.

Nurse Carol was one of the highlights of my breast augmentation adventure as she helped me decide on a final breast volume pre-surgery and was a major resource for me during my post-op visits and frequent phone calls in the first few weeks.

So how do my breasts look now, three months post-op? All I can say is that Dr. Nathan is an incredible sculpture of beautiful breasts. I went from a 36A to a 36C (~330 cc silicone implant) on a 5’9” 150lb frame and they look gorgeous and fit my body perfectly. At three months post-op they are getting a lot of their jiggle back which makes them look, act, and feel like natural breasts. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and I am so glad I chose Dr. Nathan to facilitate this exciting change for me.
