Wish Never Came to This " Surgeon"!!! Denver, CO

I have breast implants since 1999. After having kids my breasts have sagged. I came to Squires Clinic in 2006. Had breast lift and reduction done on July 7 2006. Left side had open wound . Deep hole through all the tissues. The nurse told everything is ok. Do not worry. Squires never came to post op appt. The implant was progressively sagging stretching scar into big triangular shape. ( at the T-point). The nipple came more then an inch higher. I had to come back. I wish I had gone to another surgeon to fix the problem . Squires had a revision done. I paid hospital charges. And three years later my left breast in no better condition. It is more progressively sagging. The bottom scar is painful. I can wear only one bra that is stretchable and completely covers breast well above and below. Wearing sports bra or doing any activity is extremely painful at the area of scar. After his totally inappropriate and rude reaction when I came back (he suddenly changed tone of voice and abruptly stormed out of the room) and this "fake" fixing I do not trust any surgeon even with their excellent reviews. I might just go for an implants removal ( if I will be able to afford even this procedure).

Hi there, and welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I hope you'll get lots of support from the community.

Thank you. I am looking right now for a plastic surgeon to remove this nightmare. I'll post how everything went.
Have you looked into Dr. Wolfe or Dr. Vath? I haven't had any procedures done yet as my consults are next month but I hear wonderful things about both of them. They work out of the same practice and the ladies on here seem to really love them.

I have a consult with Dr. Squires next month as well, so I really truly thank you for posting your story even though it may have been difficult for you. It's a brave thing to do and I'm sure will help many women make an informed choice.
I recently had a BA done with Dr. Squires. He did an AMAZING job! I heard horror stories of how painful it is. I'm literally pain free at 6 days post-op. I took 3 doses of Percocet my entire recovery. Don't let a review from a procedure done 9 years ago keep you from at least considering Dr. Squires as your surgeon. I wouldn't trust anyone but him for future surgeries.

I am not making a horror story. I am writing exactly what has happened to me. And I am not talking about post-op pain. ( Where did you read it in my post?)The pain came later. After both surgeries. After sloppy surgical wound closure. TWICE!!! And 9 years ago is not a hundred. I am still alive and living with the pain and no money to fix it either way.

I am so sorry you had a bad experience and are feeling pain! Its so hard to put our trust and our bodies in the hands of a surgeon, hoping that it will all go as we plan. Being on here has really helped me find supportive people - I hope you will find that too! Big hugs!
Thank you for your support. I am glad I came across this site. Do not have this at home. As long as I have big boobs my husband is happy. The rest does not matter for him.
Who cares if he's "happy!?" I haven't gotten the support I completely want either because when I started talking about getting these removed all he could talk about was that I really NEED to look into other alternatives (as opposed to just having the easier and safer removal process)....I'm starting to really be stronger within myself. There are plenty of big boob women in the world, go be with them then if that's what they care about! I'm busy taking care of myself and I'm so happy that I can finally see myself through loving eyes. I'd much rather him leave than for me to be with someone who might not be so extremely happy for me that I finally can accept myself the way I am.
I didn't mean to sound harsh in that comment either, but it kind of came off that way, I'm sorry. I just wish we all had the support and love we all deserve through this scary process. Life, in general, is a scary process! lol I'm glad we can all be there for each other here on this forum.
Hi Alicion.
You did not sound harsh at all. I don't like to sugar coat neither. And I am not letting anybody opinion to ruin my life. I had enough of pain.
Today I had my implants deflated. On February 17 I'm having them to be removed. And my husband shows great support right now. ( I am surprised and happy about that).
I am looking forward to pain free active life. With coming back to running endless miles and weight training.
Thank you for your support!
Nice!!! That makes me happy to hear, we all deserve that support! I was considering deflating first, too, and then getting the removal later but the surgeons kept telling me that I would probably feel them in there, pinch and painful every once in awhile. How do they feel to you now?? Can you feel them deflated in there? Do you feel like this way it will make your healing shorter once you do get the removal? I would think it would be a shorter healing process....let me know how you're doing and feeling! :)
Today is my first morning after deflating.
Yesterday my body was acting weird. My hands were shaky. My heart rate was around 90-100. The pain was driving me crazy. It was not that strong. But I could feel implants against rib cage. And left side - the one I had problems all the time- is worse. The implants were pushing and irritating nerves for 17 years. And now it feels like pinched nerves are awaken and trying to get back their normal sensation.
The reason I had them deflated first is my left breast is stretched two sizes more then the right one. And in order to accurately evaluate how much lift I need PS recommended to go this way.
Already I can see how skin is tightening.
I forgot to mention - I can breath now!!! What a great feeling to be able to take a full breath!!!
Wow! That's horrible to go through! I hope it gets better for you every day and glad that your surgery is a little over a couple of weeks away and not too far out into the future!
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with Dr. Squires. He was my surgeon for a lift and implants last year. I was not happy with my results with one breast so he did a revision on that breast and now I love them. I hope you find a doctor that you feel comfortable with and you get the results you want.
I'm so sorry you did not get the result you wanted. Please contact my office for an appointment to see if something can be done.
So sorry to hear about your experience! I've seen a few surgery results that came out with something being crooked, but the pain you still feel with the incision is not good. I agree with justthisgirl on Dr. Vath! Dr. Wolfe also is a partner in the practice. I just LOVE my results from Dr. Vath! I know he's performed numerous revisions. The consults are free and I found the price to be fair. Check out TheNewDrVathFan2015 profile. She had a revision by Dr. Vath. Either way, I hope you find the perfect surgeon for you and end up with results you love! Best to you :-))
