I have pectus excavatum. I am 30 years old, 5'2", 110lbs and I breast feed both of my children for more than a year each. I have done a lot of research, thinking, praying and talking with others that has lead me to the decision that I want breast implants. I am confident and excited to have my procedure done but I have some important decisions to make first and I need some advice. I am wanting a very natural look, under the muscle with an under the breast scar to be more concealed. I don't want to end up too big for my body size.

I can't decide between 275cc and 300cc, saline vs silicone and Dr. Carl Price of Springfield, MO or Dr. Carla Garrison of Springfield, MO. Any and all advice is welcome.

Saline vs silicone I have read silicone looks and feels more natural which is what I want but the leaking into your body freaks me out which is why I'm considering saline. Do saline breast implants feel as fake when placed under the muscle?
Thank you

No I haven't made a final decision. I think I am going to go with Dr. Carl Price though because he is the only doctor in the area that can do the new Ideal Implant. I really liked Dr. Garrison, was very easy to talk to.

Did you get your BA with Garrison on the 24th or was it a consultation?

I got the tummy tuck with Dr. Garrison. I had to forgo the BA for now because the hospital didn't take care credit and I thought they did. So I had to just do the tummy tuck to afford it. But it looks really nice and I am healing very very fast. She did an amazing job and I haven't had too much pain. Just cant' stand for a long time cuz it hurts the back muscles. So I am hoping to do the breasts for Christmas :)

Shaped mid height textured silicone gel breast implants would be your best option. The size would depend on your measurements.

My ideal implants are super soft and feel completely natural EXCEPT I have severe rippling and bubble under each breast! Seeing the dr tomorrow I'm really upset about it :-(

If anyone else has pectus excavatum I would like to see before and after photos to help me decide on size and profile of the implant. I am going to do the same in hopes of helping someone else :)

Thank you so much for replying! I was really having a hard time deciding on size and it really helps to see someone else who has pectus excavatum. By the way I think the size you chose looks great and made a big difference with your pectus excavatum, I could barely tell you had it in the after pictures :)

Agh :) thank you SO much. I was having doubts with my size! Do you know around the size you want to go with? And what type of profile? When I was looking on here before I got my surgery I could hardly find anyone with pectus :(

I'm thinking 275 or 300, but after seeing your results I'm leaning towards 300. I want to look very natural. I have no idea on profile, I was thinking moderate or moderate plus, but can't make up my mind. Thank you again! :)

I think 300 would look great :) And I like the moderate plus profile, it gives the perfect amount of projection. But that's just my prefrence ;) good luck with your decision! If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Please consult a general surgeon about repairing your pectus excavation before having breast implants. Breast implants could draw more attention to your deformity. Your insurance may cover the cost of the two surgeries required for the correction (one to place a pectus bar and one to remove it). I'm a surgical nurse and I have seen great results with this relatively simple surgery. I wish you great results!

^^^ This is exactly what my nephew had done to correct his pectus excavation.

Dr. Price felt that my body could take a small implant without any complications from my pectus. He was right and he did an amazing job, my pectus is 100 times less noticeable with my implants. I never had any problems with pectus other than looks, so Dr. Price was the perfect solution, and about $25,000 less than the pectus repair surgery. :)

With silicone they want you to get an mri every 2-3 years, I have saline and love them.

I am very happy with Dr. Price! I think he is an artist. He did a wonderful job! And if you want the armpit incision he is the expert :)
