2 Weeks Post Op
So I hit my 2 week post op yesterday. Finally had both my drains removed 2 days ago. I will never take showers for granted...lol & sleeping propped up just stinks! I'm pretty happy with the results :) I do have a small area on my left side above my suture line that is a lump, it's about the size of a thumb. I'm hoping it's just residual bruising/swelling. My PS noticed it and wasn't worried. She said if it's no better 6-12 months out, we can do a lil lipo on it. Made me feel better. I'm trying to be realistic, I only had the surgery 2 weeks ago.... Give yourself time to heal girl! I also went back to work Monday... I drive a large van and take dental CT scans. I didn't think driving from place to place would be such a big deal.....HUH, YA RIGHT! Every night I come home with little sharp pains,swollen and walking hunched over..Nothing that an ice pack, feet up and a little bit of Tylenol doesn't help. Okay, we'll except yesterday! Couldn't even walk it was bad. Had to take the RX pain meds... Too much too soon!
Still wearing my compression garment, binder. I feel much better with it on. I will definetely be wearing it for a while :)
I also ordered silicon strips for my scar. Doc recommended and I've read lots of good reviews. Can't wait to get started with those :)
To sum things up for week 2. I'm so very happy with the results thus far. I'm doing pretty well discomfort wise. Still get tired easy but all good.
