This procedure is one I have been dying to try. I chose Nuderma Health and Medspa in Raleigh NC. The staff is ..OMG ...Wonderful. You feel like you known them your whole life and they don't make you feel shy or uncomfortable about anything you discuss. The office is a new location and is absolutely beautiful . Very modern and clean. I originally went in for a wax service and it just so happened that while I was waiting Dr. Spencer had a little down time and we started chit chatting like old pals. None of the stuck up...I'm too busy to talk to you attitude that you get with some Dr's. I asked him if he thought that a PRP facial would help with my dark circles and bring my skin back to life. He stopped what he was doing and said let's go take a look to see what would be best and what I can do for you. He came up with a game plan and 2 weeks later I was back. The day of my appointment was very easy. U checked in and was taken back to have my blood drawn and have topical anesthetic cream applied. While waiting for my face to numb my blood was in the centrifuge getting spun up to make me beautiful. About 15 minutes or so later it was time to begin. First Dr. Spencer injected a little filler under my eyes to boost the PRP . Then he injected the PRP . Now the injections did hurt for a quick second but nothing unbearable. After that was done we moved on to the microneedling. Now this didn't hurt at all except for places like the temples, and side and tip of my nose. Other than that you could barely feel it. I am mildly anemic so u tend to bruise a little easier so I did have some light bruising at the injection sites. It is a week and 2 days later and I have bruising still..It is getting better but it is a slow process lol.Things I noticed right after...I was pink. A few places had been bleeding but nothing like the bloody face YouTube vids you may run across . About an hour later it started to feel like sunburn. I was given the remaining PRP I had to take home and apply to my face every 2 hours ..That helped with the sunburn feeling. The next day alot of my pinkness was gone.I do not wear make up so I had to just tough out the bruising and residual pinkness. By the end of the day my pink skin was gone and my under eye bruising had gotten even darker. By day four my skin began to flake off just a little and my bruising still dark but the bruise was getting smaller at least. The places that had been bleeding developed little scabs which I kept moisturized. By day seven the scabs were all gone with no hyperpigmentation. The underwater bruising almost gone under 1 eye and still getting better under the other. My skin looks a little healthier but I can't wait to see how it looks at the 3 week mark and 3 month mark. All in all, this was an amazing experience and I loved working with Dr. Spencer and his team. Any words I try to use to describe them would be an injustice. They are personable, kind, warm and a sheer pleasure to work with. As I get results I will update this post and try to provide pics. But keep in mind this is not a procedure where you see results right away..It is a slowwww process...But exciting!!
