Silicone Filler Removal in the Lips

7 years ago I went to a "specialist" & had silicone lip injections only on my top lip. They looked ok for the first couple of years then they started to clump & began to look unnatural. I felt SO self-conscious about it & even stopped smiling for photos. I was a little traumatized after that experience so I never went back to anyone to correct it. I finally took the plunge & spent months researching for a plastic surgeon who was willing to & experienced enough to perform the surgery. To my surprise, a lot of surgeons won't do this procedure. I found Dr. Bared after going down a Google wormhole one night & was impressed with the reviews & his photo results. I sent in photos to his Patient Advisor, Danielle, (who was awesome) to determine if I had a case he could work on. To my relief, I did! I had my procedure on June 6th, 2017. His staff was very welcoming & did everything to make me feel comfortable. While he was injecting the dental block, I got nervous & his assistant, Daniel, was nice enough to hold my hand & calm my nerves. The procedure itself was about an hour long & I was awake for it but didn't feel a thing. Today I am 2 weeks post-up. I am a little bruised but can see a huge difference already & was surprised with how fast the recovery process has been. I can already see the evenness in my lip & I'm still a little swollen. I'll upload photos in a few weeks when all of the swelling goes down but so far, I am really glad I went to Dr. Bared & his staff.
