I had 2 vials of Kybella injected by my dr today, approx 8 hrs ago at the time of this post. Minimal pain during procedure & NONE the rest of today. I took ibuprofen just before I left home & then 6 hrs later. Treated area is definitely full/swollen & I've iced twice so far. Will keep updating!

Day 2
griswald76November 16, 2016
Overnight wasn't bad at all, I slept propped up a bit. The area is tender to the touch & a but tight when I look up, but I have no pain. The "gel-like" feeling others have mentioned has set in & the area visibly jiggles like jello when I shake my head. My husband said, "you really shouldn't do that", lol! I'm glad I don't have to go to work because I wouldn't want to be public with this swelling. It's twice the size of my normal under-chin area. I continue to take ibuprofen, as well as Arnica and Bromelain.

Wondering how it is going now? Still as swollen?

See my post on Nov 22. I had the procedure on Tuesday at around 11am and went out in public on Friday, still swollen but not "bullfrog" swollen.

One Week Post 2 Vials (1st Round)

Back with a couple of pics at exactly the one week mark. The swelling has lasted longer than I'd hoped (still there in kind of a ball under my chin) but discomfort is and has been minimal.

Please keep me up to date I am thinking of doing this but work in the public and do want to be looking normal for my return. Wondering how long exactly I would have to take off work. Looks like you are at one week now and it is still noticeable. Thinking this is a 2 week recovery

It's noticeable for sure but I headed back out in public on Friday. No one who knows me has asked what's going on with my face, lol, so even though my pouch is bigger the swelling has gone down enough to just seem like fat. If this works, it'll definitely be worth my self consciousness but if it doesn't I'll be really frustrated! Will post again at the two week point.

Thanks for the update , I have been checking out a lot of reviews on this procedure. So far a lot are similar to what you are saying. Here in Canada it is only 2 grand more for surgery to correct this issue. Which works 100 percent but I hate the idea of going under the knife . But don't want to pay 2000 to find out that this one won't work. Results varie so much on a case by case basis is what people who do this procedure do. Hoping you end up with your desired results

Any updates? Im really considering this but not sure when I can get enough time off work for the healing process. Are you happy with the results? You had two injections and from what Ive heard its about $1500 per injection. I dont know that I can afford multiple right now. I should probably ask a doctor but wondering if the slow recovery is because you had two injections at once? Wondering if spreading out the injections would help. Sorry for all the questions, Ive never done anything cosmetic like this and have absolutely no idea what to expect. Your experience would really help me make a decision. Thanks in advance.

Pricing is per vial (you get a bunch of injections from each vial) and in my area the going rate is about $600 per vial. You can get less vials at each treatment to help lessen the amount of swelling, but your results will likely take more treatments. I did two vials and now I almost wish I had just gone ahead and had three, given my swelling was huge anyway, lol. I haven't really noticed any results yet, but that's expected as most people seem to really start seeing changes at the one month mark, which I haven't reached yet.
