10 Days to go.
Dr Nicholson has informed me that from today until the date of my surgery, I am not allowed certain over the counter medicines - which can cause certain complications during the operation. I have literally been told to carry on with my chronic medication and take only Panado's (Paracetamol in South Africa), should I have a headache etc. I would say I am starting to get slightly nervous if i think about the idea of the pain the come.... I have a few things to go and finish up this week, so I have peace of mind leaving my family.
13 DAYS TO GO - MINUS MY HILDA!
I can feel that nerves must be kicking in. Although I am not feeling it on the inside - I am definitely a bit stressed with the people around me. Okay, to be a bit fair as well to myself, let me explain. I am one of those "do absolutely everything hands on" full-time moms. I to my own detriment take an evening out for myself without kids or hubby maybe once or twice a year (if that) and I have a domestic worker named Hilda who is my right hand who helps and puts up with MY nonsense and who knows how to assist with running my household and help with the kids. Well obviously I am desperately going to need her when I go in for my TAH and Mommy Makeover - but of course, as Murphy will have it, exactly 2 and a half weeks before I am due to go in, poor Hilda takes a fall and breaks her ankle. BADLY!
So she is now off with her leg in a plaster cast for the next 4 weeks!!
So you see, some of my current stress is justified.
Mum arrives in 11 days, so that is excited and then just add to the nerves. I've bought gone and spoilt myself with some beautiful satin button up pyjamas for the hospital, now to still find the damn bra's. Have my FINAL pre-op appointment with Dr Nicholson on Thursday at 1. I must say he really is very thorough.

BEFORE PICS
Finally got around to taking a few "before" pics - though I think the ones on the day of surgery taken by Dr Nicholson will be of better quality. Hope I don't put you off your dinner!!
