I am quite narrow in the hips but with a decent sized bootay, so I'm after boobage to match the booty lol! I've never had much upper pole fullness either, always had more under volume, so definitely want to experience some of that lush upper pole fullness if possible. The doctor recommended 375 cc but since reading many ladies speak of "boob greed" I'm thinking to climb the ladder to 435-450 cc.. Mentor, smooth, round, HP

Hi ladies, I'm not sure if anyone will read my review but I feel I owe it to this marvelous community to share my story since so many of your stories have helped me tremendously along my journey & perhaps in doing so I will help someone along theirs. In the past few weeks I've yo-yo'd between implant sizes/shapes and finally settled on 400-450cc HP, then when i went in for my pre-op yesterday, my BA insists-after measuring me-that my chest fat/skin should only hold 375-400 max cc and that going above could be risky somehow...he explained it quickly with alot of medical jargon, but basically that if the implant is too large it can drop beneath the fold and cause it to flip around supposedly. I told him i'm still pretty set on 425 in the larger left boob and 450 in the right smaller, but we agreed that he will bring all sizes 375-450cc into the surgery and try them on, that I will trust his good judgement to make the right decision suited for my body type seeing as I've appointed him my "breast sculptor" lol.
Getting all my scripts over weekend, planning to cook some meals on Monday for the 4 days post op.

Implant size really comes down to wishes, but also anatomy. If your PS says that 375-400 would be the max, trust him. I got Mentor smooth round 275cc's hp which is considered a pretty small implant, but I could not have gone any bigger even if I had wanted, based on my measurements. Down the road when things have been there awhile and my body has stretched out, possibly I could go bigger, but really I went from a AA to D so I am more than happy and they are really proportional to my body. There are a lot of problems that can results from placing an implant in a space that is really too small for it. I hope you are happy with how things turn out!! Keep us posted if you would!

Yes you're absolutely right...in the end I will trust his wisdom and experience. I guess I'm slightly swayed by the 90% of stories on here where women say they wish they'd gone larger, but I have to bear in mind it's more than only that; ultimately it's an issue of anatomy/risk and I'm glad he's conservative enough to inform me thoroughly. Will keep posting reviews and pics along the journey...

Good luck and I look forward to seeing the "after" pictures in 4 more days!

Thank you :-) so flippen excited...already experiencing insomnia a week prior ..not so fun, but I've been like this my entire life gearing up to anything exciting/nerve wracking ie flights/job interviews etc. I am really really grateful to have found this site. Any tips on what helped your recovery most?

December 5, 2015
In hindsight, I would say that listening to my body and not doing too much early on would have made my recovery easier/less painful. I was very lucky in being able to do everything for myself, but I really think I would have had a lot less discomfort if I had taken a little more time off from work and perhaps asked people to come help a little bit at home. And listen to your PS and follow their instructions. You will find a thousand different recoveries on this site....every PS has their own recommendations post op, bra/no bra, strap/no strap, ice/no ice etc. Listen to your doctor, ask any questions and I think you will be fine. Also, as far as pain meds go, if you are experiencing pain, take something. If you get behind, it is so hard to get comfortable again. I and many of the women I have followed on here are able to stop taking the stronger pain meds pretty early on, but don't be afraid to take them if you need them. You will be a more pleasant person to deal with....lol. Take care and TRY to get some sleep!! (Though I can totally relate! I got very little sleep the week prior and I lost 5 pounds I really didn't have to lose!)

Thanks for your long, detailed reply. Those are all excellent tips...I'm naturally a very active person, gym junkie, was a professional dancer and I work with kids now so it's going to be tough to just relax and give myself time off, but i think with school holidays here it will follow the natural order.
I had 2 natural deliveries, my second baby-the boy-was 4.3 kgs at birth and I tore horribly getting him out. Needed 34 stitches in the punani region lol...I have had my fair share of experience with post op pain arghh...but for sure i will listen to my body, heed surgeon, and keep my mind busy with reading and TV series, Fingers crossed!!!!

I've never had kids so kudos to you....that is a challenge all in itself! I love to read as well so that has been a nice change from watching Netflix...haha. Can't wait to see your results! 2 more sleeps!

Inspire18, I love your advice! I fully agree with you. Looking back. I should've waited 1-2 more days before returning to work. I visit customers all day, drive all day, walk a lot. Didnt realize how much pain and discomfort my every day job would bring. I started feeling much better working at the 1 1/2 week mark. I am now 4 weeks post op.

Hello capricornmum! I'm so happy I could share in the hopes of helping people along their journies. I know what a big decision it is and how stressful it can be to go through. It was my goal to ease some of this for others. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile and thank-you for the compliment :) I know how important it is to get the right size implant to match your breast width. I am small but was able to get the size I desired by going with Ultra High Profiles as they matched my breast width. Actually came under it. Maybe you could ask your PS about this if you want more volume?! Definitely share the pics of the goals you want to attain and feel free to use any of mine if you wish. Best of luck to you!!! Please remember to take it easy and stay on top of the pain. I have an extremely high pain tolerance and needed to take pain meds. I sorely underestimated how much I would need. Pretty soon you will be on the other side -and thank-you for sharing your story along the way too!! Cheers! Xx

Thanks for your reply...your pics and story are truly an inspiration..your body looks amazing for having had 5 kids and a set of twins to boot. Unbelievable! God was generous dishing out your genetics lol..
I have asked my surgeon to order HP mentor, smooth round implants but didn't really want to go for the UHPs as I thought it might give me too 'fake' a look...now I don't know if that was a mistake as he's saying even with the HPs he probably won't be able to fit up to 450ccs without presenting risk. I have a small frame :-( He has however promised to bring all sizes 375-450 in to try them all and it all comes down to trusting his judgement. In fact, I did show him a couple of yours and some other ladies' pics on here as "wish pics" and his comment was that your pre-op breasts were smaller than my current pre-op boobs so if I put the same amount in I will achieve a larger rather 'unnatural looking' outcome...oh well, he definitely leans towards the conservative side but it's not a problem for me seeing that he is 1 of the best in the country. I will definitely keep everyone updated along my journey...only 2 more sleep to go. EEEEEEEEp!!!! So excited. Enjoy the rest of the weekend Xx

Good luck tomorrow!!!! You will have an amazing result!!! It's the look that counts. Not the size ;) Cheers Xx

Good luck. Can't wait to see results

From an aesthetic standpoint, your doctor made the right decision. Many women go beyond what looks appropriate for their particular frame. A reputable surgeon is one that has seen incredible results and atrocious messes that they've had to repair. These look amazing and by the way, your areola size is fine.

Tomorrow is D-Day!
I hope all you December ladies are well...my thoughts and prayers are with everyone who's in surgery today. I must say I'm not nearly so anxious about the surgery itself as I am about the aftermath/recovery period...
Just picked up all my scripts, shopped food for the week and cooked a few meals to tide me over the first few days. I'm wondering if i should take everything down from higher shelves in the kitchen/fridge/bedroom closets to avoid reaching up. Too paranoid? lol...

Not too paranoid....do it. You are NOT going to be wanting to raise your arms over your shoulders for the first week or so. My PS described it as having T-rex arms. That's about the range I had in the beginning. Anything else was really painful/uncomfortable. I did it in the kitchen for myself before hand. I also used paper plates for the first week so I wouldn't have to deal with washing heavy plates by hand. The thing I did not do and regret was moving the higher items I wore regularly down to a lower level in the closet. Had to use a step stool. And if you have a hatch back that does not close automatically, you will not want to open it or you will need a step stool to get above it to close it. My hard lessons learned I can tell you. Good luck tomorrow and I can't wait to see your post pics!!!

December 7, 2015
hahaha T-rex arms...I like that description. I think I'm going to follow your advice; I recall my sis who did hers 3 years ago telling me it was even painful to flush a toilet or open a door [RS bleep]. yikes! Im getting butterflies in my tummy already...5:30 pm here and I have to stop eating/drinking anything by 9 then off to the clinic at 6 tmrw...
Thanks for your wishes xx
