I now have what looks like hives on my cheeks

I had softwave at a med spa I have been established with on 3/12/24. They put numbing cream on me. It did absolutely nothing for the amount of pain I endured. It took 2 hours because I had to keep taking breaks, and my breaks were literally a few minutes. Just trying to gather the ability to withstand the feeling of nothing to an all of sudden all over body tightening to rigor mortis just to withstand the peaks. I now have what looks like hives on my cheeks, however I home dermaplaned using my dermaflash with a bare face. So the hive things could be from that. But omg, I don’t know if it was supposed to be that painful? Were they supposed to numb me? I would have peed my pants if I had no numbing I guess. I’m wondering if something went wrong?
