M4W2 update

I am currently on Month 4 Week 2 of my 4 month plan. I have one more tray to insert. I jo submitted new photos to SDC and was approved for a refinement plan. I have to get a new scan or submit new impression molds to get new trays to continue treatment. So far I am very happy with my progress. And this has been super easy compared to what I originally expected it to be.

Progress update

This was my last update. So far I have not experienced any real complications with my SDC experience. I haven’t experienced much pain, slight irritation but other than that this has not been hard at all for me. I am on a 4 month plan. I will update again soon!!

Smile Direct Club Transition

I am 42 years old and I have been very insecure about my front top teeth. I also have a really deep overbite and that doesn’t bother me as much as the cosmetic looks of my teeth. I have been to several different orthodontist for evaluations and have been told by each of them if I want the perfect bite and overall appearance to be the best I would need lower jaw surgery to correct my overbite due to having a smaller lower jaw and they want to extend my lower jaw with pins to fix the problem. Well that’s the part that has scared me the most about going through with it. And the cost just for braces would have been between $5 - 7 thousand not including jaw surgery that would need to be performed by an oral surgeon. So as of now I never went though with it. So about a year ago I found out about Smile Direct Club and started researching about it. I have actually hesitated even going through with this as well because I’ve just been unsure about it. I ordered my impression kit back in August and it just sat on my dresser for months. Well I recently decided to go ahead and do the impressions and send them in to see what they say about my case. Well to bring you up to speed they have approved my case and they gave me a 4 month plan. I was shocked!! I know they cannot fix my overbite and it’s only gonna be cosmetically to fix my front teeth and I’m perfectly okay with that. I am currently impatiently now awaiting my aligner trays. I found this site by readying others reviews and thought I would share my SDC journey with you all!!
