I Am on Month 4 Week 3/4 of my 6 Month Plan
I chose smiledirect because Ive had braces years ago but because of my wisdom teeth coming in have messed them back up slightly. I have gotten compliments on my teeth and smile for years despite the crowding that resulted. The woman at the smile shop who even did my 3D scan (highly recommend going to a shop and forgoing the pain in the but molds) said my teeth were nearly perfect except of the couple places. I'm learning that the people who had the worst time with smiledirect never had braces and dont even know if their teeth can even be moved to the place they want, for me it isn't a guessing game I know my teeth can fit back where they use to be. Smiledirect is for people with minor issues and for people like me who once had braces but they are a new company and are definitely not above taking peoples money even if there is a chance their results may not be exactly like planned. I heard terrible things about smiledirects customer service, I mean AWFUL things. How they didnt get back to you properly and in a timely manner if at all but since a smile shop opened up close to me and there is some place I can drive to if need be helped. Also heard that people were waiting on trays that NEVER came; they now send everything all at once. with those two worries quenched i decided to move forward. So far my results look great. I am curious if they will really be able to make my bottoms all line up nicely like in the 3D scan i got showing my progress because they still have a little ways to go but I'm going to be honest they are straighter than they were before. I had a lot of issues with my two front teeth for years now, they use to over lap before braces and they have been slowly trying to go back to that over the years and it was incredibly painful at times, out of nowhere. My other big concern was to just get my front four bottoms one straightened. To be honest if this was the best my teeth were going to get i'd be happy. Hell yes I want as close to perfect as possible but most people cant even tell ive done anything at all to my teeth because like i said, they were already near perfect and nobody but me noticed otherwise. If you have never had braces before, if you have never got looked at by a real orthodontist to see if your mouth can even fit all your teeth without needing some removed, or if you have more than just one or two small and minor issues than this isnt for you or just buyer beware. Smiledirect isnt for everyone and they say that, its really just for people like me who have a nice smile that needs a little tlc but cant justify spending 5,000$ on braces or invisilign because its just not worth it; this was a great and acceptable middle ground for me, I spend a little over 2,000$ and get my teeth back to a place they once were. I'm going to say this one more time before I end my review, if you HAVE HAD braces before then you know your teeth can be moved back to where they were no problem, this is for you. They wont be able to pull a fast one on you and say, Sorry This Is The Best Result We Could Do, because you would know better if its not up to par. Everyone else, good luck, its your choice.
